What makes a side hustle worth it? Please rank these options.
Option C won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 56 votes after 1 round of vote counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.

Since I have a busy schedule, with juggling children's extra curricular activities, their school schedules, and will have to start paying for after care once I get a non flexible schedule job, this is the most important to me.
A because the flexibility of this proposition is very efficient and rewarding to me.
I find these aspects of a side hustle make it generally worth it
I chose option A because choosing your own hours is the BEST!!
These are the best reasons for a side hustle but making extra money in my free time is the only reason for me.
I believe being able to choose your own hours is great for mental health. A traditional 9-5 job is hard with expectations, early mornings and demands from employers. Helping others is also a benefit. Instead of jumping through corporate hoops are only focusing on making numbers, you can help others on your own time. You can then choose where you work. This is great because some work environments are garbage and add more stress than usual. If you are helping others and such making an extra income is second to that as you may take a financial hit when helping others who may not be able to afford the help itself. Setting your own prices means setting what you think you’re worth and not having some garbage higher up devalue you while degrading you during employment. But can also backfire by not valuing yourself enough either. Turning a passion into work seems stressful and detrimental if you can’t set proper rules and boundaries for your side hustle.
These are all actually great reasons. But right now choosing my own hours is the most important.
It all depends on the place or the situation in which the phrase is intended. Here I have evaluated a personal situation in the work area.
Being your own boss and earning for yourself.
Choosing your own hours to me is the most appealing part of having a side job
Choosing where I work and when I work is the most important. I am a stay at home dad providing supplemental income for my family. This is the most important.
Life is so hectic and fluid that Option A is the most attractive part of a side hustle.
choice A felt the most inspiring to me
A would be pretty much at the top of the list for a side hustle i think, C well this would be a definite necessity otherwise your just doing charity work or something, D you should be able to do something you enjoy doing and make money off it, E would be nice but not strictly needed, B would be a bonus but not vital, F only if it involves making a profit.
I want to be my own boss basically and earn what I need
I like to work when i want based on a variable pay scale to those hours.
Choosing my own hours is a great thing, I can pace myself and work when I have the time to do so. Following my passion is also really important, it can give meaning to my life and then F comes into third because I would love to help people in the process.
I think choosing your own hours is the biggest benefit while pursuing your passion is very important. Choosing where you work comes next tied with help other people. Earning extra income is great and setting your own prices isn't super meaningful to me.
The best thing is being able to decide when you work.
I voted in order of what I think would benefit me the most to least
All the options are valid but i think the important reason is to chose your flexible hours to work.
The most important thing to me is the hours being flexible and the pay
More than anything I love choosing my own hours. With my spouse not a driver and my family across country, it helps me to get him to and from work as well as contact my family on their time zone. My passion comes next because I haven't had a chance for years to do so. Choosing where I work is even more important with Covid and my spouse being high risk. His job is a bubble of less than 10 people and I need to keep my bubble small as well. Besides that, if I can work anywhere I can visit family and travel easily. C comes next because I don't want "extra income" I want enough income to live off of and any more, "extra income" is an invalid concept since very few people besides the rich have "extra" anything. F is next because while I would love to help people, being in business is rarely about helping people and more about making ends meet. E is great, but setting own prices is rarely the case since we have to factor in cost of living and what people are able/willing to pay.
Any side hustle is about income, so Option A is the first place winner here!
Flexibility is why a lot of people choose a side hustle. It's what makes it worth it. Some side hustles don't even offer good money. So, this is my main reason.
4 Responses to Option B
I picked B, E, C and A as my top choices as those are the things I like to have when I work on a side hussle.
I would want a side hustle that paid well and allowed me to work it when I had the time and not be forced to maintain a schedule.
I chose option B first because I think that being able to choose where you work is the best benefit of a side hustle. I chose options A and C second and third because being able to choose your own hours and earn some extra income are both very valuable benefits of a side hustle. I chose option D and F fourth and fifth because I feel that it is nice but not necessary to be able to pursue a passion and help other people. I chose option E last because I do not think that setting the prices is a very beneficial feature of a side hustle because it creates tension and difficult in getting jobs contracted.
B is plainer and more fun. The wording is cool and I liken the sound a lot. It has a good rhythm to it.

I think that a side hustle is meant to earn more income while chasing after something else in life.
It's all about making extra money
the only reason to work more/have a side hustle is to make extra income. Otherwise, there's plenty of stuff to keep me busy
When it all comes down to it the only thing that makes the majority of side hustles worth it is the extra money. If you'rte lucky enough to have been able to turn your passion into a side hustle thats different, but for most of us it's the money, to make our lives easier.
Ultimately, a side hustle is worth it for the money, if you ask me. That's why it's a side hustle and not a hobby, profit factors into it big time. So I can't possibly give anything but Choice C the highest rank. If there's no net gain in it, I wouldn't do mine even if I like it. But since that isn't a great answer, second rank is Choice D. Beyond the cash, I do what I do because I like it and enjoy being able to pursue it semi-professionally, since the actual 'market' for what I do is heavily restricted by certificates and other 'spend money to make money' schemes I don't feel like dealing with.
The main thing, naturally, is having and earning more money in order to better achieve personal goals. Being your own boss and choosing when and how you work is a huge bonus.
The only thing that makes a side hustle worth the extra time and stress is the extra money that comes along with it.
Income is always a bottom line component along with at least on of second and third choice. The last three are sort of aspirational at best.
I'm most concerned with my standard of living and the standard of living of those around me. I don't so much care how much I'm selling things for as long as I and the others around me have a better life.
I prefer option C. it is the extra income that makes a side hustle necessary. Living on Social Security and trying to afford medications, food, utilities is impossible.
The extra income for is the most important, and the ability to do it how i want when i want, where i want.
The money is always the best benefit. Especially when the side hustle accumulates more than your primary income
Most people don't do a side hustle just for the fun of it, they do it because they need the money so essentials like utilities don't get shut off. Life is expensive, people need money & hours.
I chose option C and E because I have a side hustle and I can tell you that its worth it because of the extra money. Otherwise, its not worth it at all.
Hands down, extra money. Otherwise, why would people do a side hustle. Easy answer.
I would pick option C because having another stream of income is always nice no matter who you are.
To me it all comes down to making extra income. We all want to make extra income when we can.
A side hustle needs to be profitable, first and foremost, thus C is my top choice. I think a side hustle can't necessarily be your passion or it will ruin your passion. I also think setting your own prices is uninteresting, which is why D and E are my bottom choices. I think independence is also good, just not as good as making money, thus the rest of my choices.
My first choice for what makes a side hustle worth it is option C because it is the mostly the reason for a side hustle for extra incomeSecond choice is option D because Pursue your passion many times will turn into a side hustleThird choice is option A because Choose your own hours will allow you to work around a demanding scheduleFourth choice is option E because Set your own prices is great in order to know how much it will cost without going into the red.Fifth choice is option B because Choose where you work is great to set distant without major costSixth choice is option F because Help other people will happen automatically because they usually become the customers.
seems the most appealing and offering me the best benefit that excites me and gets me looking forward to making money
To me a side hustle is about earning a few extra dollars on the side where it may not be possible otherwise. You can work to turn a side-hustle into a full time gig, depending on what you side hustle is, but it's not necessarily a given.
It is always good to have an extra source of income. You never know when you might need it.
For me making extra income is top priority. I need the money. I also like working when I want. If I want to do a long day or short day it is my choice. And nothing beats working from home if you can.
I think that earning extra income is the most important part of a side hustle, with the other options down the list.
Extra income is definitely the reason to get a side hustle, and the next most important aspect is definitely being able to set my own hours so it does not interfere with my main job
What makes it worth it to me is making extra money from doing something you actually enjoy. Being able to do it whenever you want stops you from burning out.
I chose option C because a side hustle is about making more of an extra income for me.
Earning extra income is always the main priority to me.
End of the day everyone wants more money.that’s why we are doing side hustle
as much as i want to pursue my passion, i'm not really at that point yet. when i have made enough to have well into 5 figures in savings that will be the right time. as of now, the most important thing is that it helps pay the bills and keeps all my finances and my wifes finaces in check. i do love to be able to work my own hours too, such as with PickFu. this way when i have some free time i can work on it and still manage to schedule it around my full time jobs.
I feel that making money is the biggest thing and the main reason why someone would have a side hustle.
I prefer option C because I think extra income is always the most important and motivating. Option A, B, D, and E are also very important too. Option F is my least worthwhile.
While flexibility is veery important, the main thing is to actually make some money!
All of these things matter to some extent, but I ranked them based on their relative importance for me personally.
I choose C because this name covers all the needed information that users need to know
I like option C the best because the thought of not having to rely on someone else or a company to make money is a number one priority in my opinion.
I actually own a small shop on Etsy and the extra income has helped us so much- especially through the past couple years of the virus. I also think helping people is important, too. My line is vegan seasonings and I love hearing the stories after people using my products. Being able to do this and earning extra money for my family is amazing because I get to do on my spare time and get to choose how much I make.
I like option C the best. Earning extra income is why i do side hustles. I sure would not if i had enough money. I need the extra income to help my family
I do side hustle stuff because I am an independent, self-reliant person who likes to get as much as he can out of his time, on his own terms.
Side hustles are extra money so I really think that matters the most. I think it is also important to be able to set your own hours.
Earning extra income and getting to choose your own hours is what makes it very cool and thats these are the beautiful merits about it.
I ranked them by how I was motivated to work other jobs.
The main reason I have a side hustle is to earn extra income. It really helps to offset a lot of my costs. I also like the idea of being able to work anywhere and anytime which is a huge plus.
Option "C": Having had many over the last 40 years before they were called "side hustles", income was the motivating force and only until the past five years or so have the additional factors like flexibilityof hours and job choices come to fruition.
C in todays economy earning extra money is critical. The thought os pursuing a passion or filling a niche comes secondary to earning needed money to put food on the table and pay bills.
Side hustles are all about money to me - so my top choice is C. After that it's all about flexibility - being able to choose when and where you work. Being able to set your own prices, chasing your passions, and helping others are just nice side effects of running a successful side-hustle, but if it wasn't for the money and the flexibility, I don't think anyone would do it!
For a side hustle to be worth it, it must turn some sort of profit.
Option C The Extra Income is absolutely the reason I started doing it and if it wasn't for doing a side hustle there is absolutely 100% no possible way I would even have a roof over my head. When Covid hit I lost everything and this platform is my side hustle main hustle every type of hustle it saved my life.
The main reason is to earn extra money. This is money to pay of debt, pay bills, and save for retirement.
The main and numberone thing is how much money does it make and a realistic amount of that.
Any way I can earn extra income by a side hustle will always be the top motivator
As a side hustle, I think its more about the freedom and ability to make some extra money.
For me, the main thing that makes a side hustle worth it is the extra income and flexibility it provides. If you are able to find a side hustle that allows you to pursue your passion then that is icing on the cake.
C is 1st most important is increasing cash flow. E is 2nd setting my own prices. A is 3rd choosing my own hours. B is 4th ability to chose where I work. F is 5th I can help other people. and D is last I can pursue my passions which I'm already doing.
I would choose choice C first because it is really expressing a good way of earning a better income as compared to the other choices then choice D will be next because it also gives a meaningful thought of earning extra money as compared the other choices. The I would choose choice B because it gives an option of working from where I want to work from then I would choose choice A which gives me a thought of I will be working the works I will choose from then I would choose choice E which also gives a positive motivation towards working though not really convincing lastly I would choose choice F which has the least of motivation because I do not work to help other people.
The extra money and flexible hours are what matter to me
9 Responses to Option D
I feel that this is the most direct, pointed and thought provoking line here.
What makes a side hustle worth it is I Pursue my passion more hence I do what I like
The allure of doing something that one immensely enjoys is what makes option D the forerunner among these choices
I feel like when pursuing a passion, you should always come first. I personally think everything else should fall in line after that
Your side hustle could potentially become your full time job if you pursue your passion like D. A, B, C, E are very appealing features to those that have or want to do a side hustle.
When I work on side hustles, they are usually focused around those things that I enjoy most - so it makes it more worth it to pursue them for me at least.
I ranked the benefits of a side hustle that I found the most worth it to least. Pursuing my passion is the best reason why. I then liked earning the extra income followed by choosing my own hours then choosing where I work. I then liked helping other people and then finally setting my own prices.
In my particular situation my side hustle as it is called here is creating art and selling it. I have to work other jobs to supplement my income until I can hopefully switch it and make it my full time job. I do this because I am very passionate about art, which is why option D is my first choice. Choosing your own hours is important to me as well. I have had other jobs that tried to make me work strange hours and it put stress on me mentally and physically. So being able to choose your own hours is very important to me as well. I chose earn extra income as my third choice because at the end of the day you have to make money but I do this because of my passion. It's why I have to work those others jobs as well. As far as the last three options, those are nice options to have when doing your own thing but my main focus is on the first three as far as my side gig is concerned.
Being able to have a special life and also choose the schedule is mostly ideal. Also being able to have extra income is quite nice along with the ability to help others.

Option E is the best caption because it is simple and easy for audiences to comprehend
awesome / amazing / best / fine / too good / average
I selected all the reasons I feel a side hassle is beneficial and worth pursuing.
3 Responses to Option F
I chose based on what I would like best.
it all depends on personal choice and perspective, you have to choose what works for you.
I think that helping people has to come first. If you dont care about the people that will be buying your product, or using your service you will get nowhere.
