I chose option A because I prefer whole beans over ground coffee. I like to grind my own coffee as it seems fresher to me. It also allows me to control how much I need at one time.

OK so, truly, I used to buy beans, and ground them at home, I then switched to ground for ease of use and NOW I actually buy freeze dried organic faire trade instant coffee! I also am trying to lower my coffee intake so I bought a coffee substitute called Dandy Blend, it has chicory root, dandelion etc and can be added to cold or hot water much like my instant coffee and tastes so much like coffee I am so surprised! So I am not sure if my answer is helpful or more confusing because I have bought both whole and ground but currently prefer instant and coffee substitute!
