Do you find it difficult to manage your finances?
50 Responses
No, I find it quite simple to manage my finances with a spreadsheet I created for myself that deducts all the amounts needed after payments have been processed.
Not really, I check my bank account often and it is pretty simple to keep track.
saving has always been my biggest problem so much stuff i want and truly need, so I work hard to stay on top of my fiances
Managing finances is difficult for me right now. I currently owe a lot in monthly payments to multiple credit cards and sometimes that leaves me with no extra spending money, forcing me to then use the credit I just payed off. Getting out of debt is a challenge.
No, I make sure i know what my purchases big and small. I check my bank account daily to make sure everything is ok. I have a set date where i pay all my bills. When expenses come up i make sure to plan in advance to make sure everything will work out fine.
it's pretty easy now with all the mobile apps and website features. it's super easy to track spending down to individual transactions. no need to balance a checkbook anymore
Yes. My biggest problem is tracking my expenses. I try to budget my finances.
Yes having too many accounts and over drafting.
Not at all. I use a money manager.
IT is so hard because there is always something coming up
Not really. I use quicken to keep track. I use LOTS of savings apps...ibotta, swagbucks etc. The only problem i have really had so far is if i want a loan (looking at buying another house) the bank does not like my income source since its all non W-2. so i have to get creative sometimes.
My biggest problem is keeping track of my due dates for my bills. Other than that, I keep great track of my finances and pay all my bills on time.
I do not have any trouble tracking my spending or finances. I typically plan and budget using Microsoft Excel every month in combination with the online platform I have access to through my bank.
I find it difficult when there is an unexpected spend and you still want to be able to get the maximum rewards out of your credit cards. I use Mint, Credit Karma for my finances and The Points Guy for rewards.
No managing our finances is pretty easy and laid back. Just keep track of everything in and out
yes because i don't have enough income and live with my parents
Sometimes I have to much going on at once
High interest rates on credit cards. I have not been late and always pay more than the minimum due.
I'm pretty good at managing my finances. My problem is overspending on my credit cards. You don't realize how fast things add up when you are using them. I like to pay them off monthly, but sometimes this is just not possible when I let my swiping get away from me. I do constantly check my apps to know my balances and make sure there are no unknown charges.
Keep track of everything coming and going, it's easier if you know exactly how much you spend. And how much you can save
My biggest problem is thinking I have a lot to spend. I buy too much at times. I have to control myself sternly.
No, We have a budget that we keep up with all of our expenses. What we have coming up and what we have paid out. This helps us stay on track.
I stay on top of my finances by avoiding any unnecessary spending and earning as much as possible.
I make sure to spend less than i make. I check my bills every month and try not to be wasteful.
No. I only keep a couple of credit cards with low or no balance and I use finance management software to manage and plan out my finances. My main bank lets me export my reports to a format that I can import into my finance software.
My biggest problem is tracking spending. Way too much gets charged on my cards and I really don't keep close track of how much I owe total.
My biggest issue is the balance between paying down debt quickly and still having enough to cover unexpected costs. I stay on top of my finances by using a calendar budget system.
No I just try to make all my credit card payments around the same time for all my cards.
There doesn't seem one single place to cover all this, there are things all over the place here and there which is time consuming. I try to say on top of things but it can be quite difficult.
I do not find it difficult to stay on top of my finances. I should diversify my portfolio of investments more than I do, however, they are steadily growing, so there is not a lot of incentive to alter them at this time. I check my account balances and measure their growth.
I have almost everything that can be on autopay, on autopay. That way I know that my payments are all being made on time. I utilize Online Banking through my financial institution as well as use Mint for all my finances. I also have a day planner that I mark down when everything is due. I have a budget created in Mint for extra curricular spending. I also track spending through a ledger as well as keep all receipts. The biggest problem I ever face is daycare when they don't take out autopay on time and then winds up being two payments one week. I've already written to them for that though. It is just a daily habit now of making sure to keep up on everything financially.
it is not difficult to manage my finances, I do a monthly budget at the end of every month for the new month. I leave it out on the table for the whole family to see how much each bill is and when it's due. Try to make everyone aware of how much we are spending ..i.e. light bill, keeping the lights off helps a lower bill, when they see the bill is lower they know we have extra funds to do stuff. I think my major issue is just creating the funds to pay the bills and keeping the kids aware of how they use power, how much snacks add up on the grocery bill etc.. I prefer the paper budget method sometimes dealing online you cannot get the whole picture until the end of the month, i like to be able to scratch off items and add some other items if needed
No, not at all, I use a spending tracker. I have more difficulty earning the money I need.
It's very difficult to manage my finances. I have too many cards I have to pay on, plus student loans. I'm also stuck on a payday loan. My Finances are a mess.
Yes, To some degree I do. I find that the biggest is is the time available to track all the transactions and how it will affect me in the future.
Yes. The biggest problem, besides frivolous spending, is keeping track of the rewards. Understanding them. The financial literacy, I guess, precludes me from going anywhere.
I find it hard. I have small amounts of income coming from several different sources at all different times to different accounts. I have lots of bills to go out to different companies from different accounts. Its a lot to do. Also trying to keep track of different rewards and rebates, takes a lot of time and energy.
It was when I had debt. Now with most of my debt clear, not so much.
We do not have trouble staying on top of our finances. We keep our checkbook updated regularly. We know each month what bills we have to pay and a rough estimate of what we spend on groceries. We don't usually do a lot of extra stuff outside of the house that tends to cost unnecessary money.
Having everything written down and scheduled for payments. A monthly review on everything.
My biggest probelm is that nobody keeps me in check of my finances and never have enough money
I have no issues with managing my finances. I use a spreadsheet and am very diligent about updating it.
My biggest problem with money is that I don't have enough of it! I manage that by not spending too much, and playing the lottery!
No not really. I set up automatic payments on all of my accounts so I don't have to worry about forgetting. I also have a rule of thumb that I will not charge anything to my credit cards unless I have the cash to pay off essentially immediately.
I don't find it difficult and I don't really do anything special. Just look at statements every few days to make sure where I'm at and spend reasonably.
I don't have difficulty with this. I check my finances on a regular basis (3 times a week) and only have one credit card. So it's not difficult to keep track of everything.
Yes, i know when my bills are due but its so hard to remember all of them, since everything is digital i hardly look at my mail now a days so you have to remember exactly when everything is due. All rewards and what not I can see when I log into my bank or credit card accounts
It is hard to keep track when some transactions are delayed and not communicated by your spouse. Therefore your records do not match up with the banks
my biggest problem is the unexpected costs that come up. i set up a budget for what i think is right and put money away for savings then something seems to always come up. I check my bank account everyday to keep track of what i am spending and maybe think of how to do things different.
I do not find it difficult to manage my credit cards. I have 3 and can always check to see when it is due by logging into my account.I stay on top by checking my due dates regularly. It is easy
