Based on name alone, which podcast would you be most likely to listen to?
Option B won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 26 votes after 3 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 | Round 2 | Round 3 |
---|---|---|---|
B | 50% 25 votes | 50% 25 votes | 52% 26 votes +1 |
A | 22% 11 votes | 30% 15 votes +4 | 48% 24 votes +9 |
C | 14% 7 votes | 20% 10 votes +3 | Eliminated 10 votes reassigned |
D | 14% 7 votes | Eliminated 7 votes reassigned |

Wise Words sounds like a name for a podcast about intricate subject matter and lots of talking
"Wise Words" sounds the most intriguing and appealing. This seems like it would have some enlightening topics and discussions.
Wise life and Wise time don’t make sense to me. They are clunky and ugly. Wise Words and Word to the Wise makes sense and are totally relevant for a podcast. I like them both.
I think option C and D are not very attractive. I think option A and B have a nice ring to it and are both attractive and memorable.
A has the nice alliteration. C is better than D.B is just too cheesy to take seriousyl
I feel like I can get something out of this podcast. I feel this one has affirmative meaning to what it says.
Wise Words makes me think that I would learn something. Wise Life makes me think that I might get some good tips.Word to the Wise makes me think again that I might learn something , but it's not as good as Wise Words. Wise Time doesn't really say anything to me.
I would be most likely to listen to the shorter titles and those that seemed ideal for an enjoyable experience. Those titles that are longer and more wordy were less appealing to me overall.
I picked based on names that sounded like they had something to teach you and not just those that kind of sounded like two words placed together.
I think Wise Words or Wise Time resonates with me the most and gets me interested in listening.
I like option A the best because it's short and to the point.

I like the sound of the first one since it's a saying. It's more memorable that way.
B sounds more interesting
Only number one is really a phrase that already exists and the closest to a pun, which is the usual kind of name for podcasts.
B I have always liked that phrase.
I love a play on a good phrase and that is what B accomplishes. It is catchy and memorable, too. Especially for a podcast.
I think D and C sound weird since they are not established combinations of words like B and A are.
I liked choice B the best since the name is direct and to the point. The other choices are a bit too short and not as direct and to the point about the name or topic of the podcasts.
"Life" is overused in these types of things. B is catchy especially when said out loud.
I based my answers, of course, on personal preference and only B had a snappy and borderline memorable name. The other three were divided by their second word, in addition to wise. I graded those three name on how those two word names sounded to me and graded accordingly.
Word to the wise is clever and a well know saying. The other three are very boring and dull. There are so many podcasts out there, you have to grab the peoples attention with your name.
Option B sounds like something that would give good advice and interesting anecdotes. It sounds like a very professional podcast, while the other options really sound a bit too amateurish.
Word to teh Wise is clever. It's catchY!! Wise words is short and catchy.
(A) Word to the Wise is a common expression that expresses respect for the person that one is speaking to, so I think this would be a great name for a Podcast about intelligent inquiry.
I chose these in the order of their overall impact on me
Choice B makes me sound like I am smart but also wants to provide me with something that will make me smarter. Choice A comes in second in that it is a classic saying that people often use and resonate with. Choice D comes in third in that it makes the podcast sound like it is giving me life lessons which is pretty typical of podcasts. Choice C comes in laste because it is oddly worded.
I chose the podcasts that I would most likely listen to based on the names provided.
"Word to the Wise" is a clever play on words, which is interesting and makes me want to learn more. All four options are nice, but my top pick is definitely the best. Very cool idea for sure!
Word to the Wise is clever without being too cute; I think it sounds like the most informative of the four titles. Wise Time just has a nice ring to it. Wise Words is probably the most generic and expected, but the alliteration is still fun. Wise Life doesn't stand out, though I think with the right logo and a good host it can be pulled off easy.
Word to the Wise is an actual saying so it's the most catchy. A sounds a bit plain. D sounds egotistical and C sounds really lame -- "wise time" sounds like a corny radio talk show.
I chose in the order of my preference for the podcast I'd be most likely to listen to.
I like Words to the Wise the best, it's catchy and more memorable than the others. I'd also listen to Wise life and Wise words.
I feel that B sounds nice and catchy. It really has a memorable name that I’m sure to remember. A sounds decent but the name is easily forgettable. D and C is a bit to simple and they don’t really sound like podcast names. They just sound like generic words.
I don't like Options C or D. Wise Life and Wise Time don't sound catchy and all. Word to the wise sounds catchy and is a good name for a podcast.
The reason that I pick word to the wise is it is a saying that I can relate to and have heard in the past. After that I picked choice C (Wise Time) because the word time, for whatever reason, stands out to me in relations to a podcast. The opening for a podcast generally says something like "It's Time for X cast" and for that reason the word time has a correlation for me with podcasts.
These are more creative. Sound clever.

Option-C Wise time is more meaningful than others. Option-A is an common word "Wise Words" is more understandable and agreedable to everyone. Option-D stands 3rd as it is having meaning but not common like others two. Option-B stands last as we dont have any words like words to the wise.
I'm a podcast junkie and the name means a lot. I'm going to start with why D is my least favorite -- it made me think too much immediately. It doesn't have a good read mentally and visually. I'm not listening to podcasts to feel depressed. C, however, feels and reads as open. It makes me curious. Maybe I'll learn something.
Wise time is preferable
I feel like not only does this name roll the best but it is most fitting with my personal outlook on life.
Wise life just sounds like bad grammar. B and A sounds to uppity and fake. C is the best.
I chose C because it is the most unique and engaging title of the four. I ranked D just behind it because I felt that while D was engaging, I didn't feel it would be as eye catching or memorable as C would be. As for A, I felt that it was too generic of a title and so I ranked it behind both C and D for that reason. For B, "word to the wise" is memorable because it is a phrase that many people use, but for that reason it also doesn't elicit a lot of interest and I don't think I would be likely to listen to it to find out more.
I like this choice because it makes me think I'd be using my time wisely by listening. It's also a lot less generic and cliche sounding compared to other choices.

I chose by what name sounds most clear and also approachable.
I like that choice D has a smart determination and invokes an action.
I prefer choice D because wise life flows better. Also it is easier to remember.
D is catchy and makes you think you are going to get a lot of advice about life. It seems like you'll get a lot of information based on the name. C and A are fine. B is too long for a podcast name.
Wise Life and Wise TIme make it sound like it can really changed my life around
the last one is rather bland and overdone. the rest are all nice. i think wise life and wise time are both really good, as they are a bit less played out.
D: Sounds like I will learn some wise lessons.A: Learn wise words.B: Too confusing and wordy.C: Does not make any sense. Relating time to wise is confusing.
