Would you use an app that allowed you to find and meet with other dog owners geographically close-by to you (e.g. 3miles-100miles)?
31 Responses to Option A
There would need to be other features to ensure that the dog owners and I have something else in common besides just having dogs.
There would have to be other features because it would be difficult to get much use until the app got a user base if it was only connecting with other dog owners.
That doesn't really intrigued me to be honest, I would want other features with it.
As it stands I don't see the need to really meet with other dog owners. I already know more than a few just in my immediate family and social circles, which provides plenty of activities to get involved with communally. There would have to be other features if it were to get my attention.
I rarely get the chance to leave my house even though I have two dogs
I am not fond of tracking devises.
No I think that is too basic and I would need more features, especially privacy features and things like that.
This feels like a more complicated dating app. I do not like the idea of being that visible to people and would need other activities to make me want to use it.
I’m very introverted and I think that if the only thing known about the person is that they own a dog it likely wouldn’t work out.
There would need to be more to the app for me to be interested. Only meeting dog owners won't do it for me.
It doesn't seem very useful to me. I'd just go to the dog park if I wanted to do that.
its not hard to meet a dog owner, just go outside
I’m not sure. Are we talking about walking dogs or just meeting someone who also happens to own a dog? This is way too vague.
No, I don't think that I would be interested in an app like that, but it would depend on what other features there might be.
I'm not truly for meeting strangers that may or may not have a dog. Sounds Craig'slistish
I would say no because I dont see the use for this app without any additional features.
Doesn't feel organic.
I would be deeply concerned about the safety of this ap. Even if you were meeting in a public place, say a dog park, there's no guarantee it will even be busy that day.
There would have to be more enticing features for me to try the app. For example, if the dog owner was a potential romantic partner, then maybe I would be more inclined.
I think this sounds more like some sort of add-on to Google Maps or Meetup or something of that nature, and not a standalone app. It really needs to do more to justify me downloading something.
I would like other features to be included here so this is my choice of this case
No, there needs to be more attractive elements than simply finding others nearby. This is because the memory on my phone is limited, so only the most functional apps will be installed. That means that inclusiveness is key rather than specialization.
Definitely it would need to have more features for me to use it
No. I would go to a dog park if I wanted to hang out with dog owners or socialize my dog.
I am a very private person and would not be using the app.
I would want more features than just that, like a way to learn more about these people.
Meeting other dog owners is all well and good, but there should be a vetting process to know more about them and more details about dog breeds, locations, etc.
I don't currently have a dog, but even if I did, I would need more features to make sure that I and my dog would be compatible with the other dogs and owners we were meeting, like making sure our dogs had similar sizes and energy levels.
It's easy enough to find other dog owners close to me. If for some reason I wanted to find other dog owners close to me, I'd probably just open up Facebook and look for a local dog lover's group. If it's about meeting people for romance or friendship, my selection would not be based on dog ownership by any means, so such an app would be fairly useless to me.
I'd like to be able to filter and see profiles of people.
I am not interested in any app that shares my location with other people, especially people I do not know. Blasting my private information to strangers just because they have a dog is entirely unacceptable.

I always enjoy meeting others with dogs and like to get together with like minded people on occasion
Yes, because the app easily to meet with other dog owners geographically closed area about 3 to 100 miles. Is save the time to find the dog owners.
It would be pleasant to meet up with other dog lovers and share tips and stories about our dogs.
As a new dog owner myself, I would love to meet other dog owners so my puppy can have friends.
I will say YES, this would be an incredible options to get connected with the pet owners. We can share any sort of information and details and we can gain the same from other owners, this will help us to get clear all our doubts. And this will be the best application if present, we can get more information about various dogs and how they are been treated and assured to have a good health.
Sounds like a great way to meet others who love dogs and it gives you something in common to start the relationship.
Yes, but there would have to be safety measures involved. I'm not an alarmist type, in face one of the best things I have ever seen with my eyes is a Great Dane meet group in Piedmont Park in Atlanta -- I never felt so short. But dogs can be stolen and people are wonky.
Option B would be a really exciting application to have. As a dog owner, I would really appreciate the ability to meet other dog owners and potentially introduce our dogs. Dog socialization is so important and can be difficult when you only have one dog. This would be a great way to get dogs well socialized with other dogs and people.
Yes that sounds like a pretty cool concept.
This enables most dealbreakers. The app is user friendly.
We have a shared common interest and it would be good for our dogs to play with each other.
I think this is a potentially useful app.
Sure. I would love to meet other dogs and their owners.
It would be a good way to network. You never know when advice from other owners would be useful.
As long as there was a way to verify who you are meeting with.
Yes this is a great idea and a great way to meet people via a mutual interest
Of course, I use that app. Technology gives dog owners the ability to discover, connect and share with other dog owners in their community.
I think that's a lovely, community minded idea that could lead to the dogs having a good time together and perhaps making friends with fellow dog lovers in a nice setting.
It would enrich the dogs social life
