When buying supplements or medicine for your cat, what feature (price, ingredients, ease of administering, etc.) is most important for you AND what is your preferred format (pill, liquid, powder) ?

I think the most important thing is that the animal will take it. Because I've jas plenty of times where I've been prescribed something for my cat and it hasn't even wanted to take it.
I do prefer liquid supplements for my cat. She is rather hard to keep still and will absolutely not take any hard medications. Generally, we consider how to administer, what it is for, then price.
price is first and foremost in todays economy. second would be ease of administering as our cat can be a pain to do anything with. Prefered for the cat would be liquid.
Price is generally the most important. I think powder is the best format because it's easy to mix into food.
Ingredients are most important, of course price is always a consideration. $20 or under is best. I prefer to give my cats liquid syringes, as they oftern refuse to eat the pill pockets or pills when I put them in food.
I think ease of administering is the most important. I think pill is best as long as the cat will take it. You may need to put it in some food the cat will eat.
It is more clearable to judge the statement from the following
Liquid is the easiest to give the cat overall
I think the most important feature is how easy it is to administer. My one cat is extremely independent, so giving him his lysine can be difficult. We first tried using a gel, but he refused it so now we use a powder.
I prefer pill so its easier to pop into my cat's mouth. I would prefer ease of administering the most
The most important thing is ingredients (no preservatives, all high quality and natural) and then ease of administration, because my cats are crazy and won't take anything.
For cats, I look for ingredients that are organic and not harmful. it needs to be a liquid or powder that the cat will not be aware of when mixed with food.
Price is most important for me and I prefer it in a pill because it's much easier to administer to my cat.
Price is most important followed by ingredients and I think that pill is fine and the cheapest
The ingredients and form of administration are what matter most. I try to buy affordable stuff, but the price is less of a priority. My cats like powdered medicine the most.
I prefer a product that is easy to administer/get my cat to take because I am not wanting to get scratched to bits in the process of helping my cat get better. I also prefer supplements from natural sources rather than synthetic. Price is definitely a large factor as well; if it seems too expensive for what it is I am unlikely to purchase. When it comes to medicines for my cat, my preferred form is liquid.
Ease of administering and ingredients/quality would be closely tied. I don't want to sound selfish, but I get so stressed out at even the idea of giving my kitties medication, that I will pay whatever price is necessary to make it easy. (In fact, one cat needed pills for a time and I paid someone to come every day to do it, I couldn't and it was stressing me and the cat too much. I'll pay!) I will pay anything for my cats to be healthy and happy, so price is not a concern. I do want the highest quality ingredients. If I could get a liquid or powder that I could mix in to a wet treat, that would be easiest. Not the liquid that you shoot down their throat, I'm thinking a concentrate that can be mixed into a treat. Anything but a pill, I admit defeat. I can't do those.
Price is pretty important. The ease of administering is key and is probably the most important along with having safe ingredients. Liquid is preferred because I find that to be easier to administer.
Ease of administering! my makes it very difficult to administer medicine, so ease is paramount. I prefer powder that doesn't have a strong scent or flavor so I can mix it in with her wet food. None of the other formats will work.
I prefer cost effective options that are made with mostly natural ingredients. I have not problems giving my cats pills so that is my preferred format.
When it comes to my cat, the first thing I would consider would be ease of administration. She doesn't like to be held or touched unless it is on HER terms. I think a pill would be easiest. Kind of a one-and-done situation! Not fighting with trying to get liquid into her.
When buying supplements or medicine for my cat the feature that is most important is the ingredients.
The most important feature is whether approved by my vet. I like capsules that you can open and sprinkle in the cat's food.
I typically by pills but I will buy whatever the vet recommends that we use.
The most important feature for me is the price, ease of use and reviews of how other cats reacted to the medication. I would prefer a liquid or power that I can hid in their food or with a treat.
I would say when buying supplements or medicine of any kind (even topical) that the ingredients are definitely by far the most important to me. I always want to get whatever is the best health wise so there's no risk of sickness or any adverse effects or health risks. Format wise i prefer the pill form for administration because I feel it's easier to get them to take it. Can usually put in a small piece of a treat and after a try or two they'll usually swallow it down easiest instead of trying to add a liquid or powder to their food that they'll then avoid, it's also easier to make sure that they get the entirety of it this way because with a pill it's all together in one tiny piece.
Price is probably most important, and preferred format is liquid or powder; something I can mix into food.
Price is very important. Infrequent dosing is important. Ingredients must be effective.A pill can be forced down her throat easier than liquids or powder.
I prefer it in pill form because they are the easiest to store and my cat is very receptive to taking pills.
For me personally, I always want to know how effective the medication is going to be more than anything. Of course how I administer that medication as well as the price, this is important as well, but I am most concerned about what has the best success rate when it is compared to all of the other medications. If I had to pick a second one, I would say that the ease of administering the medication is also very important because I want the cat to be comfortable. My preferred format is probably liquid because I just think that is the easiest. Pill is always quite the challenge and powder seems like somewhat of a new way to do things.
When buying supplements or medicine for my cat price is the main factor. My preferred format is liquid or powder as my cat will not take pills and they are hard to hide in food.
The ingredients and efficacy are the most important. My preferred format is liquid because it is hard to get the cat to eat anything other than her usual food.
Price is always paramount. I think pills are easy to sneak into the cats food.
price is always important - but the most important thing is that it's liquid. have you ever tried to give a cat pills? no way in hell - says my cat. she will vomit them up on me 20 minutes later. ingredients are also important though
Liquid is defiantly the preferred method for my cats. Something that has a syringe type device is helpful too.
Ingredients always first, safe, effective and preferably natural. Liquid is easier to administer and price should be reasonable.
price is most important and i prefer powder that can be sprinkled over food
The most important feature is that the ingredients are healthy and safe for my cat. I also think that it is necessary that the price be affordable but not so low that the product is not of a high quality, especially the ingredients. My preferred format for delivering supplements and medicine to my cat is a pill form because I can just put it in the food I serve my cat, which is the easiest way to administer it in my opinion.
The ingredients are the most important part. This helps me decide how healthy it is.
My preferred format is liquid in a syringe, and ease of administering is most important.
I prefer pill format for my cat. They definitely do not like Liquid
Price for sure, my cat is old, so know she will be going sooner rather than later, so I’m not as willing to pay as much anymore.
Powder hands down is the best. I mix into the food. I really like it it in a pill capsule that can be opened for the powder to be mixed this way I know it is dosed properly.
I prefer liquid. It is easier to give to my cat.
Liquid is my preferred format and price is typically the feature that i look for most.
Of course ingredients are the most important aspect of a supplement or medication for cats. As far as the mode of administration, it's easy for me to give my cats pills, as long as the pills are small. Liquid administration would be second, and powder last, because even if you mix it into their food, there's not guarantee they will eat it, or eat all of it.
Powders are definitely the most preferable. Getting a cat to eat anything they don't want to seems to be nearly impossible. Holding them down and forcing something down their throat winds up with my blood all over the place, an unhappy cat, and they didn't take the pill. Liquids are better, but a powder can be snuck in small amounts to most any food and be gotten away with. Plus it's safer on me.
all three formats are good but pill are best format
Ease of administration is by far the most important thing for me when it comes to feline medicine and similar. Because it's always, always, a massive pain to get them to take it. Somehow they always know what it is and avoid it. Second would be ingredients and price third, you don't cheap out when it comes to anything health-related, whether for people or pets. My favorite format for this kind of this would probably be powders since it's the easiest to mix into food and trick them into taking. They tend to notice liquids and always notice pills. Powders are the most painless by far.
I think the main feature I would look for is how would this product be beneficial for my cat, and then the form it comes must be suitable for my cat, for example if my cat only eats liquid then i would only consider options that come with this format.
