water bottles are easier to manage if you're not going long distances.
the vests are more weight efficient to use for a serious runner, but would rather look out for hydration tables if the event has them
I think bladders would be best as I would rather have things attached to me so I dont have to mess with it or consider storage
I think that water bottles are easier to clean so I would prefer those.
I like water bottles better. I have never really got into bladders or vests. May have to try again.
Generally a small water bottle that I can strap onto something, since I don't like containers jiggling against my body as I run. I like the simplicity of a small bottle too, since it is easy to deploy and does not take up much space.
Water bottles, because they are a lot more convenient, both while running and while resting to drink.
I prefer hydration vests that are equipped with bladders, as it's more comfortable to wear and also looks more stylish and less bulky.
In my opinion cleaning bladders would be much more difficult it would lead to bacterial mold growth i would much prefer water bottle its light weight , flexible , easy to clean and carry .
I like water bottles more than the bladders. For me, it's more convient and doesn't seem as much as a hassle, although I know that's not a popular opinion!
I would rather have a water bottle. I would not want to have too much extra weight on during my run.
I use both depending on how long i am going they both have their purposes. I do really like the longevity and ease of bladders though.
Hydration vests are much more convenient and easier to keep track of.
I like hydration vests because they are hands free, which I really like and they are easier to carry on the back.
I think a vest would be better because I want my hands to be free or want the water bottle to interfere when I'm running.
A vest is generally more workable for running or hiking because having a water bottle is heavy and often throws off your stride depending on where it's located.
I prefer bladders. I feel the weight is more evenly distributed as well as being more ergonomic and contouring to me.
A hydration vest is more convenient. It is easier to wear and does not become a hindrance while running, it is however more costly and that is why it is not common.
I do like hydration vests to be equipped with bladders or water bottle. At least the option is available to me when I need it which I sometimes do use. It's better to have it then without especially when I am hiking in the mountains.
Hydrations vests. They are just easier to access the water and lighter weight. I've had issues with water bottles cause I'm always carrying them, or worrying they're going to get stolen.
I prefer the bladder vest backpacks to water bottles because it keeps me hands free hydrating.
I would prefer a water bottle as a casual jogger. A bladder is a little too hardcore.
bladders are more comfortable to me to carry
I prefer a water bottle over a water bladder backpack. The bottle is easier to clean which is very important. I can also get a small backpack to put the bottle in.
No, I feel that would get in the way. During a marathon, your mind is focused solely on the path ahead. Your focus is enough to mentally prepare yourself to know you're not gonna need to use the bathroom until you need to.
Hydration vests are more convenient for me instead of toting a heavy water bottler around.
Bladders can be easier to drink from than bottles. I like them more overall.
Water bottles are far superior. They are much easier to refill when needed, such as at water fountains at the trail I run on.
Oh, I prefer bottles hands down because they are the most convenient for me personally.
I prefer the vest because it ensures my hands are free while running, this gives me the best performance and running form with minimal fatigue
Neither, I prefer to have a hand held water bottle so it weighs me down less and chafes less
Water bottles. I feel that vests are for more advanced training athletes
I prefer a water bottle - I don't want a west weighing me down
Water bottles, it is simpler and more effective and not something that sounds expensive.
I prefer water bottles. Bladders and other methods are just weird and unnatural. A water bottle is easy and I don't have to think about it since it is engrained muscle memory.
I prefer water bottles, as they are easier to carry and refill at water stations. Wearing extra "stuff" just makes me get hotter more quickly, which isn't good.
Each has its benefits and downfalls. If you're not including replacement bladders, mouthpieces, etc., then water bottles would be more useful on the go.
I prefer hydration vests equipped with water bottles as they allow for hands-free, continuous hydration during long runs.
I run quite a bit. I've cut back recently, but for several years I ran 30+ miles a week, up to 12 miles at a time. I would never consider a vest. Water bottles all the way.
I generally prefer water bottles because they are easier to fill and I prefer how they feel on me while running, but don't feel super strongly about that preference.
I prefer water bottles. The bladders always leak and get mold or stop working altogether.
Water bottles. They are easier to grab and replace, eliminating the need for a special bladder to clean and prepare before each run
I prefer water bottles because they're something I'm more comfortable and used to using
Those vests are uncomfortable to me. I prefer the standard water bottles.
I am not real sure I like bladders....but I know I like bottles.
Bladders, because they're easier to drink on the go.
I rarely carry water with me when I run, but I will accept a jug of water from a cup handed to me by one of the crowd bystanders.
I absolutely prefer water bottles. Drinking from a bottle isinfinitely more satisfying and seems easier and more convenient. It's just a more effortless style that's much more pleasurable.
I tend to prefer water bottles, but both are good. I think something about the way bottles feel just seems more ergonomic. It's a tactile thing for me rather than a practicality thing since both are practical.
I like to drink water bottles on my run for quick hydration.
I prefer water bottles for hydration vests. I worry about bladders becoming unclean and dangerous over time. Water bottles are easier to clean.
I prefer a bladder on a vest. It creates a flatter surface area and less bouncing of the water to distract you while running.
I would prefer a hydration vest with water bottles - im not worried about bladders as I will sweat a lot.
In my experience, water bottles are easier to use when using a hydration vest. Bladders are unwieldy.
I like the bladders because they are mor evenly disbursed in wight and more comfortable to work out with.
I prefer using water bottles.
I would much rather have one equipped with a water bottle because I get quite thirsty while hiking.
Water bottles. Much easier to clean.
I like water bottles- easy to clean, refill and swap out as needed throughout the day.
For road races, I like a bottle. I think for extended trail running/hiking, I would want a bladder.
I prefer an actual bottle. Water in a vest gets warm faster from body heat.
I prefer a water bottle because the bladder is hard to clean
I prefer water bottles, it is less cumbersome
Water bottles. I don´t want anything else on my body.
I prefer hydration vests that have options for both. For runs 10 miles or less, I like having two bottles up front in the vests. For runs longer than 10 miles, I like to have a bladder in the back to add to the bottles up front.
I think a bladder is more convenient and would make more sense to me.
I prefer water bottles because it is simpler to use and clean. However, for long run, I would prefer hydration vests equipped with bladders because they hold more water and are easy to sip from while moving.
I prefer water bottles. I don't like the weight and feel of hydration vests and I don't go that long of a distance to warrant a vest.
I think it is up to the runner to see which one is most comfortable, convenient and works best for them. I would prefer to have some water to drink.
I run competitively all through the summer and wouldn’t be without my hydration vest!
I prefer water bottles because they are simpler.
For marathon runners, trail enthusiasts, and casual joggers, hydration vests equipped with bladders are often preferred for their convenience and larger water capacity, while some may favor water bottles for easier refilling and monitoring intake.
I would prefer a hydration vest over a bottle. It is easier to run with and much more comfortable than trying to get bottles back in a belt.
I would prefer the bladders. Bottles can get a bit clunky and be cumbersome. The bladders are just more comfortable.
Water bottles as they can detach and are portable. Also water bottles are easier to clean than a bladder.
I would prefer to have a hydration vest with bladders so I can keep my hands free while walking or jogging.
I think a bladder is a lot better, it seems easier to carry in your back and you can drink it without having to open any lids
I prefer hydration vests with water bottles because it seems more useful from a functionality standpoint.
I prefer vests because they let me keep my hands open to do other stuff.
I like the water bottles the best
I am a casual jogger. I drink after my run is over. I don't want to carry or wear anything extra
No i do not.
I prefer hydration vests equipped with bladders as they are lighter.
water bottles. bladders are so hard to clean inside, it gets really gross.
Water bottles are better in my opinion and better to carry around
I like bladders because they are light in weight compared to actual water bottles
Water bottles because they are less weight and bulk to deal with.
I have never used it. It seems cumbersome for me.
Absolutely bladder. They are more of a pain to clean bit so mich easier to use while running.
Bladders! I think it feels better personally and lighter on me as I am running. I like to try and stay as light as possible and not feel too much jiggling and sometimes water bottles still do that for me
I think bladders are lighter, but won't hold a lot of water and bottles can be a bit heavy, so I would choose a water bladder.
I've gone hiking in Hawaii, Colorado, Nepal, etc. I would say I prefer to have a backpack with two side pockets to hold water bottles. For me, I prefer to have the added storage over just the capacity to hold water.
I think water bottles would be more benefifical in this case
I prefer water bottles because they look less dorky than running around with a vest. Good vests also cost a lot of money. Bottles are much more economical and get the job done.
I prefer water bottles. I believe the hydration vests are too heavy and slow you down.
I feel it would be a great innovation that would be very useful, especially for trail enthusiasts and casual joggers, but I am not so sure that these kinds of hydration vests should be provided to marathon runners or not as it would greatly help them, but the actual test of endurance and skill may be jeopardized.
Vests can be heavy and heat or weight. I much prefer a water bottle. I have a skinny one that doesn't hold a lot of water but is easy to hold.
I would definitely prefer water bottles, having vests with bladders is not very attractive.
I prefer water bottles for any kind of activity. It doesn't matter what it is. Especially if it's for marathon running, jogging and being on trails.
I prefer a hydration vest as I don't have to worry about carrying a water bottle with me.
