Do you prefer a cotton wick candle or a wood wick candle? Why?
31 Responses to Option A
I would choose "A" because I have always used a wood wick candle and have never used a cotton wick one before. I have never even seen one.
I chose Option A because that is what I am used to. I don't think that I have ever used a wood wick candle.
Cotton wick gives you a more wispy feel and the flame sways more and is more shapely!
I've only ever had cotton wick candles and believe they are easier to maintain than wood wicks.
Cotton candle. I think a larger wick just serves to burn the candle faster to get more money.
I prefer A because B seems more likely to spark/start a fire and I don't like the crackling sound it makes while burning.
I don't have a strong preference and the reason for that would be because I've never used one that had a wood wick
I do like the cotton wick, i think there is less soot with that over wood
I choose A, because it's familiar. I have never used or even heard of a wood wick candle and now wonder how that would work.
I am used to cotton wick candles. It is scentless and looks pleasing. I strongly prefer to use cotton wick candles.
Definitely a cotton wick candle as the flame is the nicest in choice A
I prefer a cotton wick candle because it feels safer to me. I prefer the smaller flame!
I like Option A because I am more use to it.
A looks beautiful and like a more typical candle
i always prefer the cotton wicks , they are easier to light and to stay lit. I think they are mor attractive also , the wooden wicks always look like some one just slammed a piece of wood into a candle. i would always pick the cotton over the wood. easier to light , keep lit and to snuff out when you want to shut it down.
I prefer the cotton wick of Option A simply because that's what I'm familiar with. I've never actually seen a candle with a wooden wick.
I prefer A because it is more aesthetically pleasing. I think it would be more soothing and create a nicer ambiance as well.
I prefer a cotton wick candle because I think it looks better in the wrong run and burns better. I have a locking for the more classical look of it despite any cues that the wooden one may be better I don't like using a wooden one. I do not like the smoke caused by a wooden wick.
I like a cotton wick because I have never used a wooden wick before. I dont know how well they last
I've only ever used a cotton wick. I wouldn't know how to deal with a wooden wick
I prefer A; I'm used to that look for a candle
I prefer a cotton wick candle personally as I have never attempted to use an wood wick candle so I am more used to a cotton wick and am more familiar with it.
I like the cotton because I like how it looks better.
I prefer the cotton wick traditional candle. I'm assuming it's a cleaner burn.
Cotton since I don't enjoy the sound a wood wick makes!
I think classic, cotton wicks burn better and more evenly
Between cotton wicks or wooden wicks, I prefer cotton. I have never used a wooden wick, so my preference for Option A is mostly because of familiarity. I have heard that wooden wicks can be more environmentally friendly. I would like to try a wooden wick. I have seen them at a friend's house and they make a crackling sound when they burn, which is pleasant. I worry about wooden wicks being less safe because they seem to have a bigger flame that burns hotter than a standard cotton wick. I prefer Option A over B because I'm used to how these candles perform and they are easy to use.
I prefer the cotton wick - I don't like how thick and dark a wood wick looks.
I like A over B because A looks more like what I expect for a candle.
I feel more confident in the norm of the usual to light it.
I've never seen a wood wick before and I'm used to cotton wick so option A is more appealing to me.

The woodwick is prettier with a bigger flame. Maybe it will last longer?
I think the wood wick one just because it isn't what you see every day.
The wood feels very unique and natural.
I like the wood. It's refreshingly different. In my mind, it evokes the scent of a wood fireplace on a winter evening.
I prefer the wood wick because I think it would burn longer.
I like the way a wood wick candle burns and sounds.
I have never personally used a wood wick candle, but I know the differences and the wood is supposed to "crackle". I like both, but I feel like I would really like a wood wick
I prefer the flame on B. I've liked other wood wick candles I've used.
I like B because it reminds me of something real and of when I was a kid. I don't know which kind it is but that's the one that I prefer. I never really thought about it until now.
I think a wood wick candle is interesting and has a nicer burn to it
it smells better and looks nicer in my opinion
I think the wood wick candles look really cool and you don't see them as often. Because they are a bit more unique they're my favorite but cotton is okay.
I prefer wood wick candles. I love the popping sound they make. They also burn evenly and nicely.
Option B looks nicer and more appealing. The design is better.
I like the wooden wick. It gives a wider more appealing flame.
I feel this one burns better than the other. It allows the candles to evenly burn better than a cotton wick.
I've never liked the need to trim the flower shape on cotton wicks and I much prefer the wood wick.
I chose B because I like that the wood wick looks to be able to last better and looks very chic.
wood wick seems like it would burn the candle more evenly
