Based on the color of these woodworking mallets, which product would you be more likely to buy, and why?
Option C won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 28 votes after 1 round of vote counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.

i would click on the one in option A because it looks easy to use and the color is appropriate to the product type
The brown goes with wood better, the white will show off every ding
Options A and B make the most sense to me. If they are being used for wood working then it makes sense for them to have a wooden color to the mallet part. That way you don't leave a non matching color and have to clean or polish quite as much.
I think the brown ones are the only ones I would consider. I don't want a color to possibly come off on what I am working with. The brown would blend in more. The white and orange would never be considered, even if significantly cheaper.
I like the color of option A. It has a nice wood look that is not to blending with other woods. This way you can use it and any damage or marks will stand out.
I think black and white like C and E are too boring, and D is too vibrant in my opinion. A and B looks the most high end and I prefer the color of A
3 Responses to Option B
Among all the products, option B is my first choice because I like the wooden material and also the color of the product.
I like b. Goes with the wood color to feel more directed
I would preference a mallet that is close to the color of the wood, Im working with.

I chose black as my number once choice because it is not only my favorite color but also more practical for woodworking since it won't show scuffs as easy.
I chose C because I like the dark color best. It looks good to me.
I would definitely prefer the black one. It is the color that I think of when I think of a mallet. I honestly would not even consider any of the other colors. Black is the only choice
I think darker colors are generally better for tools as they hide knicks and dents more better. I like black first for those reasons. The two browns are nice (B,A) and I feel the orange one is second to last because white would probably show the most damage / dirt / wear and tear.
I would be most likely to purchase option C because I think that it is the most visually appealing product color out of the five options above. Really just a matter of personal color preference. I don't think that any of the options are objectively better than any of the others.
I would most likely buy choice C because of the black color. It won't show the wear on the mallet as much.
The black of Options C and B seems classic and reminds me the most of a mallet.
I would buy a darker colored mallet because it would show less wear and tear over time. I ranked the options based on this criteria.
I feel like darker colors work better in contrast with the light-colored handle, so black (C) would be my favorite of these 5.
Option C is preferred. Black color is fine. In fact, no color/natural would have been expected and be fine. Any of the others with colors is just window dressing.
Black is very classy and goes with just about everything. Due to this, this is my top pick
The black does the best job of hiding the strike marks on the head. Most of the other colors will become marred after a few strikes.
I would put them in this order. I would go with choice C. I think the black color works best for a mallet because it stands out from the wood.
I do not know the reason exactly but since childhood I have seen my parents and grandparents using black colored mallets only and hence have chosen option C product as the one I am most likely to buy.
I would buy Option C because the dark color would show less wear.
I think black looks the nicest, but orange and being more visible might be better functionally.
I like all of them, but prefer the darker colors.
I prefer the more dull colors over the brighter ones.
Not sure if color would matter but i would go basic black in option c, option e would be my 2nd choice, option b, a and d are all fine and im sure color would not impact functionality
I would choose the more traditional color of C
Option C would be the color I would want to own.
I would be most likely to go with option C. I like the darker colored mallets better.
C would be the only one that I would pick out of these colors.
Option C is the most utilitarian looking mallet, with its black head, so that is what appeals to me most when it comes to hand tools. From there, I like B and A in that order, because they are the next darkest and the next most restrained colors, with B's darker brown being somewhat more appropriate than A's beige, since the former looks like a rich wood stain. Finally, at the bottom, I find E's white mallet head to be much more tasteful than the garish orange of D, so while E is still a bit too whimsical for me, I would still prefer it over D.
The darker more bland colors fit more decor.
I found this color to be the most interesting and appealing to use
i prefer the darker colored ones. they look more natural.
I like the simple black mallet, I want this to work and serve its purpose, it doesn't need to be bright or the focus of the room.

The bright orange looks most unique and vibrant.
I really like the orange color on this one. I think it stands out a lot compared to the others shown. For the remaining I chose based on my thoughts if I liked the color or not compared to the others.
D, it stands out with the bright orange color, would be easy to locate, and would feel more fun.
I ranked the options on the relative appeal of each color scheme and how visually appealing it made the product seem.
I would prefer a brighter color here because I like the head of a tool like this to stand out compared with the color of whatever I've working with
I sometimes lose tools - and I feel like Option D calls attention to itself better than the competing options. I feel like this is a tool I wouldn't lose as easily, and thus would be more likely to purchase it.
I love the bright orange color of this mallet. I think it would be easy to find in any tool box and it would be unique to own a tool that is this color.
I would actually go for the brighter, lighter colored mallets because in my work room there are so many things; that I would need it to stick out so I could find it. I like that it has distinct colors to choose from.
5 Responses to Option E
I think the light color would help you see what you're pounding on.
The white color can match with anything
As the product is same so based on personal preference I ranked them. I like white more and pastel colors They are the safe choices
I think the white handle woulf stand out amongst lots of wood products
I like the unique color of Option E the most of these.
