Which PRODUCT NAME do you prefer for a series of products that hold the Apple AirTag tracking device and attach inconspicuously to personal possessions (see here for bicycle, other versions to come for a range of personal possessions)?
30 Responses to Option A
based on what looks like a better deal although they look awfully similar
TagLock gets the point across without needing anything excess in the name. "TagLocker" is a fine name, but TagLock gets the point across simply and will look better on products by being shorter.
Keep it simple and effective. Tag lock is enough. I actually really like this for my bike and will keep my eye out for one!!
Locker isn't quite right because it reminds me the thing from school. Lock is more appropriate to what the device is intended to do
A looks nice and sharp, B looks a little blurry and washed out
I like TagLock. It sounds tougher, like it's a Viking name so it sounds like it would be unbreakable.
TagLock strikes me as more accurate, as it uses the AirTag technology and functions a bit like a bike lock does.
It's not a locker, it's a lock. It's better descriptive
When I think Locker, I imagine a storage box. I think Lock feels more like security.
Locker implies more of a box like you'd see at a school or something. "Lock" fits the product better
A, because it's shorter, easier to remember, and is cooler than "TagLocker".
Nothing about this suggests that its a locker. Locker suggests that its something that you would store things in. This looks to function as a lock.
A locker is a thing that we used to put our stuff in at school. This is a type of security lock and I like it better when it it stated that way. This looks like a very interesting product and would be good to put on a bicycle that someone would want to steal.
I like Tag Log (option A) better as it is shorter and more the point. Fewer words / letters, and still lets you know exactly what it is and does. Option B (tag locker) is fine, but I associate a locker more with the pice of furniture (like a school locker), larger and somewhere where I can store something.
Tag Lock rolls off the tongue more easily and the name matches the product better in my eyes, but both names are pretty good for the product.
Not a huge fan of either of these names, but I feel like A is more descriptive of what the the product does - you lock/hide the tag to your bike. B sounds more like you should be able to fit additional items inside which doesn't seem to be the case.
I like Tag Lock since it really focuses on the fact that it's an invisible and digital lock for your bicycle. Tag Locker makes me think that I'm buying a physical locker for my bicycle. Tag Lock is also shorter to pronounce and rolls off of the tongue effortlessly.
The name "Tag Lock" appeals to me because it is telling me that my product is being locked up. The word locker makes me think that my product will be in a locker. I just want my product locked up not in a locker.
Tag Lock sounds better. When I think of a "Locker", I think of a locker in a gym or school that you put thinks IN, not ON. Lock makes more sense
TagLock Wins out for me here; although both are good - both under three syllables. You'll find my rating criteria consistent throughout any and all feedback I provide :) when it comes to naming things, shorter is better - but since both are pretty short, I look at the names and just think about what people visualize, and both visualizations are good - a lock, and a locker. So I guess the syllables to make A take the cake.
I chose option A because when I think of the word locker (option B) I think of school and a rectangular box that holds your things. Yes, that is what this does, but I greatly prefer the word lock.
I like option A much more than option B. I think conceptually, TagLock fits the product much better than option A, TagLocker. The product houses the apple Tag and is meant to protect personal belongings, much like a lock. Therefore, TagLock fits conceptually.Option A on the other hand reminds me of a Locker. I think this name makes me think of the product less as something to protect my personal belongings, and more as a simple container for an apple Tag that happens to be attachable to things, like a portable locker of sorts. I don't think it's as good of a conceptual connection compared to the one I made with the name TagLock.
This one has a better ring to it.
Shorter and easier. Tag Locker sounds like a storage device.
I prefer tag lock in A to tag locker because it indicates more precisely what the product is and does. With B the tag locker could be misinterpreted by its name as a more traditional large storage compartment.
I prefer "lock" to "locker" because the latter reminds me of a locker, like a locker at school or work.
i think B sound like a chain or something like that, i think A is better
I chose option A, with the product name Tag Lock, because it just seems less of a mouthful to say.
locker (b) makes me think of school supplies. I prefer A, as it locks and keeps anything secure, in my opinion
Taglock is easier to say and more catchy

I think this name is more catchy and suitable for a product name that holds the apple air tag tracking device inconspicuously to personal possessions.
I like Locker more than just Lock. It seems more fitting in that it is a storage device for the tag and not an actual lock of any kind. But the word "locker" still does exude some security confidence too.
The name "TagLocker" sounds better to my ear.
I think I'd seen this previously and these were my two least favorite of the four but locker sounds a little more active and enticing then Tag Lock.
I picked B as my top choice as it tells me that it's a very good locker to use.
While it is more of a tag LOCK than a tag LOCKER, "tag lock" is strange to say, being two syllables, and could easily get confused for something else. "Tag locker" sounds stronger and more like a product name
I slightly prefer taglocker since I think the name is a bit more catchy and intriguing overall. I think TagLock is fine, but it does not sound as exciting and reliable as taglockeer does.
I like TagLocker best, it denotes something you put something into like a locker. TagLock sound very generic and cliche.
They are very similar.
The word locker describes a product that is actively locking something up so I think it would be the better word choice here.
That's funny. I just learned about these kinds of products last night from a Youtube video. Anyway, I don't think this isn't actually a lock for the tracking device, so I think calling it "Lock" is misleading and confusing. Locker, on other hand, totally works, since it's an enclosure for the tracking device. Locker is the clear winner to me.
I like the name Tag Lock better it's quick and rolls off the tongue easier then tag locker.
