Which is the best title? Even though the pair hadn't spoken in years, Amelia is devastated to learn that her former best friend is dead. Amelia uses the video recording's of her friend's driving gigs to prove her childhood friend was murdered.
Option G won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 64 votes after 7 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.

I put them in order by which I felt they fit the overall theme of the story - A makes the most sense, then F B D G C H and E
I think 'Hands Free' is the stronger title among these as it can directly relate to recordings being done while driving, which is a major factor of the plot.
13 Responses to Option B
I like B F and A the best. I think they are really clever and I would be interested enough in the title to pick it up and read the back jacket. E D and C would be okay but sound more like she is being haunted or there was conflict between the two. If this is the case then those would be good. G and H. I don't like, they sound more like romance for relationship themed books.
I like each and every one of these and I think it would make an excellent read. I did choose option B. "Blue Screen of Death" just fits right into the storyline.
I selected the titles that I felt best represented the plot of the story.
I chose according to how alluring the title is and would make me know it is a mystery I want to know the answer to. To me, the title that best meets those parameters is B. The second would be G. My third choice (H) doesn't sound mysterious, but it is a title that would probably want to know more about a story. My fourth choice (F) does sound mysterious, but it make me think the story would be about an airplane or jet pilot. From this point on, none of the titles make me think the story is a whodunit and are not compelling enough to me to want to purchase the book--just my personal taste and opinion.
Some of these are shorter than others, but overall, they're effective for their intended purposes without being too cheesy or dull.
Better description and easy to read
Blue Screen of Death is the most nebulous and intriguing of the titles - the rest seem rather straightforward to me.
I chose (B) because I think it fits with the direction the story line will take, and how it will unfold, (G) was my second pick because it gives you a look into the past, and where the story will began.
I like Blue Screen of Death because it goes with electronics crashing and a driving video if she crashed
Just tried to imagine what would catch my attention.
I think Blue Screen of Death is the most amusing so I think it can actually work as a title. Someone I used to know is pretty generic but it fits a lot better than the rest of the titles.
Both option B and F match the synopsis of the story and speak to me on a personal level I really enjoy them
I think B is the most mysterious and unique. I've seen other book titles with those names, but not B. It makes me want to learn more about what happened vs just the vague titles of the others.

I ranked the potential titles for a horror thriller book that I liked the most. I found the name "Ghosted" to be the most appealing and curious. I then liked the name "Echos" followed by the name "Blue Screen of Death" then "Someone I Used to Know". I then liked the name "Hands Free" then "Hands Off" then "Shared Experiences" and then finally "Life and Death on Autopilot".
D obviously is the winner of these. Ghosted lets you know somebody is likely dead, and it is using technology with it. B also kind of clues you in to the same thing, a death and technology. E is interesting because it has a name that allows you to know something with the plot. Echos could be the echos of your voice after you are gone. G helps you know that it is somebody who is gone, but somebody you are maybe trying to find again. A and C are nearly the same. I don't really love either one, but they both give a clue that it has to do with a car. H and F are both bad in my opinion. I don't like them and I don't see how that goes with this plot. They are both interchangeable with their level of description in the title.
I chose these options in this order According to which title was the most intriguing and it sparked my interest something that would make me want to learn more about the book or made the book sound interesting all on its own I also chose them based on which ones fit the description the best
I really like the title of this option. It is really simple but matches the description of the book very well. The friends ghosted each other (haven’t spoken to each other in a while), and the videos of the deceased friend are videos of a ghost.
I really like D & G. Also like "Someone that I used to know". Don't care for the the last 4 at all.
Option D is the most interesting title. Its vague enough to not give away much, but also informative enough to give garner some interest in the title. It's easy to remember as well.
I think this sounds the best and is the most scary and makes you think something bad would happen. It fits the plot of the narrative well. I like the two hands ones next because they are sort of witty but still creative
Options D,G,E,H,F and B are amazing titles that invoke mystery and suspense, I also like that titles fit the theme/idea of the story a bit.
I like ghosted optoin D, there can be a few connotations for this word yet it fits the scenario. Optoin H and E are good as well, i dont understand how well the option A, C and B with the brief description provided would summarize the story

Seems the most on topic. Hands free and hands off give off a different vibe
I like the title "Echos" the best for this story. The recordings in the story are like echos that Amelia watches which makes this title symbolic.
I like Echos cause it's short and concise and leaves a lot to the imagination. I also like Someone I Used to Know because it reminds me of that hit song that was played all the time "Now You're Just Somebody That I used to Know". It was a catchy tune.
Option E is excellent for this story because an "echo" of the past is exactly what Amelia is using to prove the murder.
A lot of these aren't very good, Echos is nice as is Ghosted. But both don't quite hit the right tone. Best of the lot though.
They are all pretty good but the only 2 that were specifically bad names were F and B, they are to techy and nerdy for me
choices E & F stand out to me because the titles are simple and can still give a hint to the story
i think that i like the ones in relation to hands off idea a bit best. although echoes has a nice mysterious sound to it. i think ghosts and echoes of the past, things like that. i don't really like the last 3. i think that they are a bit cliched and not as descriptive.
It is difficult and a unique challenge to brainstorm the perfect, well-fitting and memorable title for a movie or book. I am not sure if this is a film or book, but given the limited background information my favorites are E, G and D. They all aptly describe possible feelings and sensations that are associated with losing someone you were once close to and wanting answers. Option B is a little over the top in my opinion.
I like Echos it’s like the response from the past is helping to solve everything.
Echos is short and memorable. It can also bring about feelings of mystery or the past.
A lot of these are "hammy" titles that I dislike. They don't feel serious and it feels like they are trivializing what happened. E and C are the only ones that feel like actual book titles
I think that the name in option E is the best of the options to choose from
I really like option E. It’s short to the point it’s pretty descriptive for the type of story that you proposed. And it’s a little sad
I would rank them in this order with choice E as my preference. I like choice E because I think "Echos" resonates well with the story. Echos to me fit with voices from the past. Seems like a perfect title for the description.
I like "Echoes" because it's like she can only hear the echo of her former friend's voice via videos. The voice is real, but it's past tense. Option G has a sad sound to it, which would be the case if a former best friend had died. My least favorites, H and B don't make a lot of sense in the context of the described plot.
I like Echos the best because it intrigues me and seems to fit the described situation. It doesn't sound like either of the friends "ghosted" the other and "shared experiences" sound somewhat sexual in nature.

I voted based on how appealing the titles were to me compared to the others and which ones I would click on in the real world.
Life and Death on Autopilot has a more interesting sound, this is the most distinctive title that I think could fit well with the story.
B is terrible because it doesn't have to do anything with Windows. F is original and kinda related to the plot. I don't like too much the rest
I went from the most relevant and intriguing to the least. Someone I Used to Know makes me think of that song and it sucks.
I prefer choice F because the title explains what the book might be about.
I chose option F because it is the only title that ties the death mystery and the driving together. I chose option B second because it has to do with murder. I chose options C and A next because they have to do with driving. None of the rest of the options makes sense to me, so I chose them in the order that sounded the most interesting.
F and G are the best. They fit the story and sound interesting and makes you want to know more. A and H are good but not as good. The rest are fine but they don't stand out and are a little too basic.
I like all of the options, but I picked option F as my first choice because I thought that was was the most self-explanatory title for what the video is about. I picked option G as my second choice because I did not think that one was as specific as option F, but I do like how it implies that it is about someone that is no longer around, which fits the theme of the video recordings. I picked option B as my third choice because that was a close one for me between option G and option B. I would pick option B as my second choice if option G was not an option. I like how the title mentions a screen to infer that the video is about a series of videos about her friend that died. I picked option D as my fourth choice because I like how that name is easy to remember, but I think that one might be a little confusing for some since the term "ghosted" is usually used to talk about someone disappearing suddenly out of someone else's life by not responding to calls or messages, so some people might get misled by that title. I picked option C as my fifth choice because I thought it was too vague to be used as a title for this. I picked option A s my sixth choice for the same reason as option C. I picked option H as my seventh choice for the same reason as option C and option A. Lastly, I picked option E as my eighth choice for the same reason as options C, A, and H.
Made my choices based on which title i think is best and is most fitting for this type of book. The title in C is the one i least like and least prefer. I think the title in C is not relevant or fitting for this type of book
I like option F the best. I think out of the choices this is the most suited title. I don't think they are all that great but out of the choices this is the one i like the best.
F captures the attention of the reader. Very mysterious
Honestly I feel like most of them don't fit. Like how does a reference to a 2011 pop song fit in, or the blue screen of death? The description is good but the description pairs with the titles has me a little uncertain. Life and Death on Auto Pilot sounds cool, like a modern play. Hands free was my next choice, it sounds intriguing. I Chose option c for the same reason, sounds intriguing. E also sounded interesting. After that I'm not as much a fan of them.
This one really stands out over the others.
I chose F as my first choice because I feel that it is car related. I chose G as my second choice because the pair hadn't spoken in years. I chose A as my third choice because I think the hands free would be how things are recorded. I chose C as my forth choice because I feel that hands off would be how the device would record things. I chose D as my fifth choice because I think it is a good description. I chose H as my sixth choice because I feel that the two had a history together. I chose E as my seventh choice because I think that it is a reminder and a hint from the past. I chose B as my final choice because I feel that it relates to the death as well as electronics.
I think autopilot is good since it is referencing driving gigs.

Without more details it is difficult to know how some of these options would make sense. For example Hands Off, is this being listened to in a way that is voice controlled? I personally prefer G and F, Life and Death on Auto- Pilot would be great if the vehicle had an autodrive feature
I really like the title Someone i used to know, since it matches perfectly with the fact that Amelia hasn't spoken to her friend in years. I also like the title Echos, since it makes sense due to the fact that Amelia uses video recordings to prove the murder.
I think G is the best title because it gives off a bit of mystery and sparks curiosity just like the description.
I like my top choice. This title has more weight to it. It is gives a glimpse of lost love or friendship. I find that this one fits my personality better than the other ones.
I went with what would grab the attention best.
Some of these range from confusing to nonsensical. I think G is the best in that it pays a respectful homage while giving the reader some sort of context.
I like this option the best because it is subtle but still describes the situation above accurately.
I like the title in option G because it sounds the most personal and raw. Option F, A, H, and B feel very real and creative too. Option C, E, and D don't really resonate with me as much.
I think that G is a good combination of mystery while still being informative and giving a sense about the book.
I think these answers do the best job of relating to the scenario that happened and is easy to understand
Option G is my first choice. I find it poignant and interesting, and a good name for a murder mystery. Option H is also quite good, the title implies a closeness and understand. Option E seems regretful but it's a strong title and resonates. Options D & C are a bit awkward and clumsy sounding. Finally the remaining options are all just okay but seem ordinary and not very interesting or winning.
"someone that i used to know" is perfectly fits the theme of the book as well as being similar to the song, more people will be drawn to the title.
I think Someone I used to know and Ghosted make me want to read this book.
The most appropriate is G - Someone I Used to Know.
I like the options that do a good job hinting at what the plot is about.
'Someone I used to know' sound the most like the synopsis. The other titles don't describe the book as good as option G.
Someone I used to know sounds like a very fitting title for the recording.
The only one that I think fits is my first choice. I don’t think the others represent the story very well.
I chose by the title that not only seemed most appropriate but to help the viewer give an idea as to what they may be watching
I felt G was much more representative of the storyline.
My rankings are based on the book title I like best and would recommend for this book.
D, C, and H seem very generic and not unique. G and F would make me want to pick up the book and read the inside of the jacket. A, C, and B seem like they describe the storyline but would not catch my attention.
Choice G is best because "Someone I Used to Know" brings many thoughts to mind. This is important in gaining a curiosity about the book that would hopefully bring about sales. This is a very intriguing title.
I would focus on the factor that it was a person in the past first and then the plot from there.
Well I think G fits with the story the best, it's a best friend that she used to know. The other titles are more vague, Echoes is kind of nice. Life and death on autopilot is certainly memorable as well.
Out of all the options only G was even close to describing the caption.
Adding mystery to the title is a nice choice. As a distant friend for some time I feel someone I used to Know is the most accurate title. Ghosted is a nice title, but you usually you are ignoring someone intentionally where as she was murdered or presumed to be murdered. If she wasn't murdered and she is ghosting her fried that would be one hell of a plot twist.
Option G makes the most sense with the plot given. Someone that I used to know really fits well and is a nice title and not short like the other ones.
G is a bit of a trendy pop culture reference but is also relevant to the storyline and is memorable. A is a direct reference to car devices and also seems to imply that the characters are not encumbered by life's little problems because now they have this new bond. F sounds action packed or fast paced, like it will have a lot of twists, but it is not as catchy as the first two titles. B is a bit humorous and pop culture referencing so it doesn't have a mysterious or solemn tone but it is easy to remember. C is almost like Hands Free but makes it sound a little more aggressive or stern, not emotional or exciting or tying into the story in any way that I can see. D is a trendy but overused term that somewhat matches the story but doesn't really bring it to the aspect of the driving involved. H is truthful and blunt but not necessarily memorable or catchy, seems a little overused and unimaginative. E is the least interesting or unique, doesn't give me much about the characters or the plot.
For me I thought options G C and D were a bit better than the other options in terms of intriguing titles. For a description I thought options G C and D fit really well whereas the other titles weren't as suggestive as to what happened.
G is the best one for me because this makes me want to read on to find out the details. I would read this one first.
I'll be honest: based on the synopsis given, none of these titles listed appealed to me. Why? Because none seemed to pertain to the plot. I went with G, because with "Someone I Used to Know", it implies that the focus is on Amelia's former friend and how she died although it is kind of general and could literally be about anything in regards to someone Amelia knows. I chose E next just because I like how it sounds. Also, you could say the hearing her friend's voice in the video recordings causes Amelia to experience constant hearing of echoes of their friend which drives them to solve the murder. B sounds nice and would be perfect for a murder mystery but I don't think of "blue screen of death" when it comes to driving. More like computers or other forms of technology unless it's taking about the video recordings? I don't know. Both F ("Life and Death on Autopilot") and D ("Ghosted") can also be good titles which is why I chose those two next, but again I think they're better suited for other mystery books, not necessarily this one. I didn't care at all for H,C, and A. They could work, but not for this book. Overall, I would advise to come up with another title altogether but if I HAD to pick, then again, I'd go with G.
G sounds like a better name of this book. The others just dont hit the mark. I really dont like any of the names but if I had to chooseit would be G
I like G the best because I think it fits with the scenario perfectly since the friend is someone she hadn't spoken to in years. The rest of them are somewhat okay but none of them really fit the scenario like G does. It gets my attention first.

H D and F are unique and memorable
I made choices based on how best they sounded
H has a solid and unquestionably strong display.
Option H is better since it resembles what this story is all about, memories recorded on video.
H if I had to choose.
The title "Shared Experiences" in Option H seems to be the most fitting.
Shared experiences sounds the best to me.
i feel like choice h is most intriguing and draws you in to want to know more
