What would be the most fitting and inspiring title for a book about the dreams of 7-8 years old boys?
Option C won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 26 votes after 3 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 | Round 2 | Round 3 |
---|---|---|---|
C | 30% 15 votes | 40% 20 votes +5 | 52% 26 votes +6 |
A | 24% 12 votes | 30% 15 votes +3 | 48% 24 votes +9 |
D | 24% 12 votes | 30% 15 votes +3 | Eliminated 15 votes reassigned |
B | 22% 11 votes | Eliminated 11 votes reassigned |

A I feel is the best title as it is short, simple, and straight to the point over the others.
I like a short and sweet title that seems more active than passive
These seem realistic and relatable in the order that I ranked them.
Options A, B, and C really challenge the child to do something with their dreams, encouraging them. However, option A dares the child to dream, which is more exciting to a kid, I think. Option D feels too academic in some way, as if by reading this the child will learn how dreams are useful. This isn't bad necessarily, but probably less exciting to a 7 or 8-year-old child.
i really like choice A cause i feel like at that age they are more daring and really like to take risks and have fun and i feel like the name fits really well with this theory.
Mentioning Adventure in A can be attractive to young boys. So I think A is inspiring without having to say it's inspiring.
I thought A had the best flow and the title led into the subtitle most effectively.
I like the title of this because its the most inspiring.
choice a has more of a direct approach to the titles
A is my favorite. It's simple, effective, and a call to action!
I like a it seems to encourage boys to follow their dreams
I like option A. It sounds very inspiring.

They are all positive titles, but my top 2 choices stick out a bit more. They fit the book's theme a bit better and make me feel like it's a bit more 'in your hands' for some reason.
I like B because it's the shortest and most to the point, followed by A. D and C are both too wordy.
I just like how option B flows, it is to the point without being too wordy.
I chose B because I like the words used and the message it sends
I think the iconic message is here like believe in your dreams or reach for the stars make the most sense to pitch to a child who's 7 or 8 years old
I like telling young kids to believe
I absolutely love the title of option B. I think it is wonderful to get boys to actually believe in their dreams so they can fit for them.
All of these are fine. I like B the best as I feel that the language is the most appropriate and the most descriptive. C is also good. A nd D are OK. But all would be fine and are interesting.
All of them are a bit long and none are catchy. Especially for the demographic. That said, C was the worst. Too long and cluttered. I don't know that they need subtitles either, and from that I ranked them based on the main titles.
I think the first two titles would help inspire the children more
B. It's inspiring & encouraging. D. Let's them know that their mind is powerful. C. Very Motivational. A. Doesn't sound to confident.

Reach for the Starts I think sounds the best, it's the easiest to understand for a kid that age.
I like option C, I think it is an appropriate title for children that will be understood. The other titles may not resonate with children the same way.
I love the idea of reaching for the stars and reading about people's courage. B and A are decent enough and would work but I am not a fan of D
I like the visual image created in the mind from 'reaching for the stars.' None of the other three titles create a vivid picture.
I really like c. More relatable.
I ranked in the order that I find the book titles to be interesting.
Option C seems the most appropriate as 'reach for the stars' is a quote children would relate to. Option B is similar as this states 'believe in your dreams', which is another quote children can relate to. Options A and D are a bit more harsh in their language, with words like 'dare' and 'power'
C and A have a bit more of a call to action to them, which boys will pick up on.
I love that it starts with an action that gives a motivated and energetic feel
C has very straightforward title and I like that, I think the other three are pretty much tied for second place
I really like the first two because I think they are a little bit more inspirational but all of these titles are quite good.
I made my choices this way based on the fact of what an 8 year old would think about which is the stars and not really understand or have a real concept of power or tough goals.
I think REACH FOR THE STARS is the best title! It’s encouraging, more so than believe in your dreams, because it’s telling boys to absolutely go for the gold.
I like that it talks about reaching for the stars because it shows that you’re gonna have to give a lot of effort but you can get your dreams to come true.
I like option C the best because I like how it says to never give up and to reach for the stars! I think those two things are very inspirational!

i like "D" and "B" much more than the others. i give "D" a slight edge over "B" because of the word "power." "power," so to speak, is a very powerful word. it will get people's attention. there really isn't anything wrong with "A" or "C" but they seem so overused and corny to me.
I picked option D because I like its use of the word power, which would appeal to boys more.
Dreams have power so the title used in D is the most descriptive of the bunch here.
I like "The Power of Your Dreams" because it gives the impression that the dream is like the fuel that can power a kid to succeeding in whatever area they can imagine.
I like titles that mention dreams early on and I rated by options that most make interested in reading.
I think option D feels the most empowering, unique, trustworthy, and interesting which makes me the most likely to buy
I like thinking about how powerful your dreams can be.
D is the power of your dreams makes the most sense to me. C is very typical. A doesnt sound right. B is overly complicated.
Generally I like book titles that are to the point and that do a good job describing exactly what you'll be reading about. That doesn't mean they need to be boring titles or anything though. Out of these options I really like option D. Its inspiring and makes me feel positive about dreams. Options A and B are similar to option D to me, but not quite as inspiring in my opinion. Option C just feels a bit long and isn't quite as direct that its about dreams.
I'll go with option D' because the title seems interesting and is simple to understand.
I chose option D because this title seemed the most motivating.
I ranked option D first because it had a strong resonating message that attracts attention and feels empowering. I ranked the remaining titles based on how well they fit that feeling with option C sounding a bit too campy.
