I can't think of a better title. A is easier for nonindustry people to understand.

I think A would be easier language for a layperson to understand if they wanted to get started in a small business doing this.

Option A is easier to understand than option B. The word exit is confusing in option B, so I would choose the title in option A.

App hints more to the path the agency took and what it built. Though I think with B changing jobs to agency (How we turned a cash-sucking agency into a $5M exit) informs the potential reader about turning a company around, and that's what the book is about.

Loss to Riches would be a better title. With the dollar amount it would mean they sold the app so they are no longer the boss.

Having it worded as and exit tells me that there was a major success and that I/you wouldn't have to go back to the normal job. I prefer B over A for this reason.

$5M exit is much more impressive than a $5M app, as the latter implies possibly revenue, not profit and perhaps no exit.

Based on the description of the story in the book, I believe there should be consistency by using the word 'exit' in the book's subtitle. Using the word 'app' instead, gives the impression the company became successful when it doesn't sound like that's the case.
