Choice A gprovides a boader perspective on the book and clearly identifies central characters and their background.

A immediately grabs me because it takes place during an important historical event, and that is put upfront in the description.

I like the last sentence of Choice A as it more accurately portrays that this is about a love story and friendship. This description is more cinematic.

Both are good, and descriptive. I would lean toward the more descriptive Vietnam scene, mentioning he was less than 24 hours removed from warfare.

Thata a story that could eventually be a movie too . It shows more feelings and shows marines as kind of heroes they are. Without marines countries are useless . Therefore i think book a is more appealing

B was bit more concise and gripping. I did not like the end of A as it seems very unnatural and awkward to read.

I just prefer that it is worded. It would make me want to read this book.

It's more more concise and descriptive. Option A is very rambling, and not particularly coherent.

B is more concise, more readable, and more professional.

I like Option B because it sounds more interesting and something that hooks me into the story. I don't get that same feeling in Option A as I did in Option B which is why I find Option B to be more appealing.

Option B sounds much more emotional. It grabbed my attention right away with the first line that she's a struggling actress hiding a secret. And also emotional that Tom is flying his friend's body home. Where the first few lines of Option A seem more informative, not so much emotion and kind of boring. I also like in Option B how it says 20 years later, they meet again.

i felt like option A went on and on and on..i like short sweet and to the point. i start to get annoyed when it lingers on

I didn't like how the other description abruptly jumps from one character to the next.

I chose option B. This is written in a very good, gripping way that I could easily sit down and read the book!

Its a more fluid piece of material that is linear in its description of the book.

B is a bit more vague, which I kind of like in a description of a book. A seems like a narrative for a movie trailer to me.

Option B actually gave me some detail about this book, the story and it's characters. I really didn't like A because it talks about both Vietnam and WWII so it's difficult to know if they are talking about the same person or not. A was very confusing, so I liked B better.

It sounded more exciting based on the description. The way the "secret" that she has was described plus how it drives them apart for 20 years and how they end up back together.

Choice B drew me in without given too much away about the story. I am curious to know what Kate's secret is and how it came out when Tom had to go back to the war. It comes across as a love story that has the two protagonists overcoming obstacles to potentially persevere in the end. The other summary - Option A was two cut and dry; it seemed like unrelated statements void of emotions. While there was extra description, it didn't seem like it connected or flowed. Option B had a much better flow.

B tells a better story of how the three became linked.

I felt like I was more in the story and could picture it in B. A seemed more of a general description of the 2 people a little bit of interaction.

The description was really good and made me want to know more about Kate and Tom in the story. I think I would feel attached to the whole story and I hope this two people ended together. This description made me want to know if they ended together.

I like the "twenty years later" part that is mentioned in this option and not the other. Also, on the other option, the statements towards the end with … seem too cliché.

I liked the beginning of A but the ending format just killed it. B is overall better.

B makes you want to read the story more. A is to drug out and the details dont make it interesting like B does.

Choice B looks and sounds like an actual summary of a book without giving too much detail and without being too overly dramatic like it is in Choice A.

CHOICE B IS WELL WRITTEN AND A MORE COMPELLING STORY BASED ON THE WRITING. I WOULD DEFINITELY CHOOSE B OVER C AND WOULD PICK UP THIS NOVEL TO READ AND ALSO BUY IT.

this one is much more to the point without stringing the reader along. it tells you all you need to know. the other one is just kind of trying to string you along with all the periods and the colorful sentences.

I liked option B better.

I chose B because I didn't like the one-liners in A.

Both don't feel that appealing but Option B sounds more pretentious by touting what it is (three lives separated by a generation, war defines all three lives, etc).
