Romance book reader audience targeting

• Choice B because of the vibrant color of the sunset and the sun shinning down on the gentleman. Make it a very attractive sell.
• B has to many effects added to it that it doesn't make the guy welcoming and want to know about the book, while A literally looks just like a picture that would be in a photo album
• I would rather buy choice B because this book cover is more lively. It is more vivid and radiant. The other is dull and boring and makes me think that the book will be boring. Seeing the sunset image in the background is bold and the man's radiant skin is very visually appealing. It leaves me curious about how interesting the book would be.
• Though i really love the sun setting image on B but it looks quite warm and don't see much of a peace look. But in A, the image looks calmer and peace so i feel it fits well for the title of the book with blue background gives the vibes of Malibu beach.
• I love the sunset and it was what I envision when I think of Malibu. The man is very attractive.

• The option A definitely is more attractive and intriguing and keep the tone of what to expect from the book.
• I like the white and black combo more honestly because the red against the black is actually quite hard for me to read and see so I prefer the white as it's easier for my eyes to follow.
• Choice B is easier to read with the white text. Choice B looks more like a horror book with the red text, and makes me worried that something bad happens in the book. The book looks interesting, and I think if it is a romance then the white text is less scary.
• i like the black and white contrast.
• I like the white wording and image. It makes the words/image easier to read. The red runs into the black background.

• It just seems like option A is in reference to having a baby. Someone having a baby is always an exciting time. That is why I would choose A over B.
• Saying the it was on Amazon gives me a little information, whereas I don’t know as much about Kitty Otis.

• I have to admit that I liked both descriptions for different reasons. I like that "A" tells you what other books/authors that the book is similar to. I picked "B", because I like how it gets right to what the heart of the book is about and grabs you and makes you want to read the book to find out what happens to them.
• Option B has a lot more passion and emotion in it. You see more of the actual story in option b not just the outline with vague details like in option A. Honestly option A bored me and I couldnt read it fast enough to be done with it while thinking I hope option B is better. Thankfully it was! I would give the book a read after seeing option B but if I only saw A it would probably be a pass.
• very descriptive and I liked that it stresses a point of reference author at the end
• This tells you the plot in a straightforward manner instead of using complicated words and phrases.
• I prefer B because it seemed more exciting (I think the sentence structure helped add to its appeal). A also seemed more factual and boring and I felt like I was reading a customer review rather than an exciting overview of the book.

• I like B more because I think that the language is more conversational and draws me in instantly. It makes it sound exciting.
• I love reading about woman's stories and since this first sentence is about the woman's view it caught my eye right away.
• Since this book is focused on Kitty and her adventure, option B is more appropriate. The opening lines of A would be more appropriate if the POV character was the Irish LT. With option B, it is much more obvious that you are going to be reading the story from Kitty Otis's POV.
• I like the way they tell you how the story goes.
• I chose Option B for the book synopsis because even though both blurbs are explaining the same book, option B appealed to me more. What I don't like about Choice A is the first sentence, which describes the male character as a giant of a man in mind, body, and spirit. It turned me off for the rest of the summary of the book. The word giant, just didn't fit in with the regency type feel to the book. I would definitely purchase option B if the book was on Amazon, it reminds me of the Bridgerton Series, which is very popular right now. Good luck with the book!

• I think that the title rings together, but it also is kind of a reference point of looking back to a moment in time. I think that it kind of stands out. Love in a Forbidden City just gives makes you think more about the city than the love.
• I think the mystery of where it is would be better because I wouldn't immediately go to a book that has Beijing in the title.
• That spring sounds intriguing, I would want to know more
• I live romance and mystery so I like B better. A is too limiting and leaves less to the imagination.
• I chose option B because it relates to a love story better. That tone is not the same in option A.

• She looks a little older in A, and mentioning Jane Austen does not make me want to read the book.
• What can I say? I am a Jane Austen lover and would rather pick up a book that is in that style if I were given the choice. I also like the cover photo of B in that the young woman, though dressed traditionally for the times shows a little bit of sparkle in the way the hat is worn, and not quite tied, and that look in her eye. She could cause problems.
• The book title is more interesting along with the description. Also, the picture of the girl is much better on option B.
• It was hard to choose. The costuming in choice A seems more historically accurate I I like that, but ultimately the expression on the woman in choice B looks kinder so I chose B.

• Choice A has a standard profile for the story that gives just enough background on both main characters that there is a lot of room to dream about the story. Choice B is just a synopsis of the majority of the book. Not a lot left to the imagination really.
• I think including 5 stars that we can visually see makes the choice B jump out at me more
• I chose option A. If I'm just browsing for a new book to read, I don't want to read a long description. A's description is short and has just enough information to decided if one wants to read it. B has too much extra information for a plot description/summary.
• To be honest, I wouldn't want to read either. Neither description sounded like something I would enjoy reading. However, if I had to pick, I would choose A. It was shorter and to the point. It left more to the reader's imagination, therefore getting you a bit more intrigued and interest. Option B was long and it described too much of the story.
• To be honest, it had more typos and needed more of an editor, but the other option felt a little too try-hard. Neither of the descriptions made me believe it would actually fit the time period without cringe, but option B at least didn't make me think about how the Lieutenant was probably going to have all his lines written in phonetically written Irish brogue.

• I think the fact that the woman is facing away lets readers imagine her to look however they want.
• I think her gaze is engaging and holds my attention. The font of the author name is better too

• I like the bolder lettering showing and telling you each series of books. Nice eye candy as well!!
• The difference between the covers is why I picked A they seem more in line with the last two covers of the set. IE they have clothes on.
• The series of covers I prefer for a contemporary romance series called "The Fated Loves series" that involves billionaires, ex-baseball players, detectives, and the strong women they fall in love with is Choice A. The stock photos of the male cover models are on trend with what is in romance publishing right now and the bolder font is better and clearer than the fonts and text in Choice B.
• I like the bold writing best. I just catches my eye better.
