A makes me think of the kind of monster the skull comes from. B looks kind of cute, but also that it is the monster. A seems more hardcore.

So these are both make interesting icons the one is a cow skull with some Demon horns would you see a lot of times for game icons like this honestly and it looks cool, and that's why I imagine a lot of video game developers use art like that. The other icon which is basically an eyeball with the tendons and stuff coming out of the end of it it's kind of gross I don't know if I would use that as a mobile game Icon or not since it's kind of disgusting

Option A is more likely to convince me to download and play this game because I think that it is a more interesting and much more visually appealing app store icon design.

This design looks like it could be a logo of some kind. The thorn-like elements behind the skull give it a unique look. It's creepy, reminds me of warriors and games with action.

Choice A would probably prove to be the most enticing. Mostly due to what it is. The skull of some weird creature, which implies that this is probably some kind of combat focused game, and likely a fantasy or scifi one. All concepts I like. B doesn't have nearly the same connotations, so it doesn't grab me as well.

My first impression was that I liked option A more and when I consider which icon I would be most likely to click on, my first impression factors into forming that opinion. Option B doesn't look pleasant. It is effectively an eyeball that is not attached to a human or animal and that makes it kind of unusual. I would not be as likely to click on an icon with an eyeball just floating in what appears to be water or outer space, it just looks a little too unusual for me. Option A I understand what the image is and it is less unusual. It also makes me curious about what the story of the game is such that there is an image like that. I'm reminded most of dragons and because I like dragons and playing games that have dragons I would be more likely to click on the icon for option A because it makes me think of dragons or at least some kind of large reptile like a dinosaur. I think option A is more distinct, unique, and memorable. I also like the color scheme with respect to the contrast of the dark background and how the light creates a slight shadow for the areas of the image that have that subtle distinction. The smaller, more subtle details of the icon make option A more interesting to me. Option B is a little too ambiguous with respect to if the eyeball is floating in water or space, but the other issue is that it is just an eyeball floating somewhere. So the reason I chose option A is because it looks nicer, it has more interesting details and features that make me want to learn more about the game to understand the environment and setting of the game, and so that's why I chose Option A as my favorite choice.

Based solely on the image--without context besides game--I prefer the skull for one simple reason: the eye-ball and attachment seem rather creepy to myself. The type of game with Option B likely wouldn't be my style. So I would definitely go with Option A.

Between the two different options, I would definitely go with option b over option a. What I thought was very interesting about option A was that you could see some green as well as some orange color in the eyeball and I thought that was very creative. I also enjoyed the little speckles and dots in the background of the photo. With option a, this is an image that I have seen before and I believe that I have seen it many times in movies especially. It was just nothing new to me, which is why I decided to choose option b as it added a little bit of creativity.
