I have enough to play as it is, so I wait for sales on things
Yes I like to try and see what deals I can get
I do some deep searches for prices (checking price history). Usually, the best prices are around the holidays, so I do wait.
Back when you could buy computer stuff at normal prices this was the best way to get a deal. Now its all too expensive anyway, thanks crypto guys.
I usually do because these may have the best deals for the items that I would want.
i am patient and can wait to purchase
I do because usually the prices are better during this time! I only do this because I need to save money but if it's cheaper earlier, I would love to buy it earlier!
i do it because then i can buy plenty of gaming stuff for a lesser price and gift them to my gamer relatives and friends
I usually like to wait until the holiday sales so I can get more for my money.
I only buy things on sale when buying for the holiday, and if it doesn't go on sale I won't buy it
I sometimes do this depending if there's a game of software I want to buy later on.
It depends. For the most part, I love sales and will wait for a sale, but if I need something because it is broken, I will buy immediately and not wait
There's no point buying anything video game related this month until the Black Friday prices are announced. You would be dumb to over pay because you couldn't wait 3 weeks.
I delay but not only just for the holidays. I don't need to keep up with the CUTTING EDGE of tech. But I do like to have high quality stuff. I don't mind waiting.
I'm usually buying these products for friends and family as gifts, so it makes sense to wait until the holiday season when there's deals and I'm already shopping for gifts.
Because I like the idea of getting a good deal.
I love waiting for Black Friday sales since they're usually so useful for saving large amounts of money.
I like to spend less money.
I usually wait because the prices usually go down and most likely there will be more reviews that I can look at on the product.
I mostly wait until the holiday sales. Especially black Friday sales or cyber Monday sales.
Option A , because these image are about the gaming hardware or software until the holiday sales everyone most attractive to play. All the details information are updated.
yes i usually defer my purchases because of how expensive gaming hardware is at this time
I would go with option A because I prefer to wait for sales and make it more worth for my money.
I picked Choice A because I usually do delay such purchases nowadays. Money has gotten more tight and I have also gotten more stingy regarding money. I also have less of a need to play new games right away as the one game I have bothered to get over the last few years right when it came out was Red Dead Redemption II. So I am willing to wait to play games that I want and the holiday season is the perfect time to buy or ask for some of them since things are on sale or I can get something as a gift.
I think the prices are very high, except for Black Friday sales, so I will defer to then. Also, the consoles get jacked up in price when demand outweighs supply, so that isn't good. I would go with waiting and deferring personally.
Things are usually cheaper and it gives you something to look forward to
I normally would delay purchases of gaming hardware or software until the holiday sales unless I needed something right away or the holidays were too far away, for example 6 months until sales.
My choice is more relative to recent years and specifically hardware than software. The latest console, PC upgrades, or Television/Monitor are usually the ones that come to mind.
I always wait to buy because of the amazing Black Friday deals.
If I know I'm going to need something around the holidays, I check deals to see if I can get a good discount. Games I tend to stock up around the holidays.
I like to hunt for discounts after the holidays.
I like to choose option A. Because during holiday season more crowd , brand less gaming hardware will be available. if i will make delay to purchase means the offer will still be there. no crowds and some brands will be there.
Yes, my money go a lot farther and prices always come down with the holidays
I really try to wait until the sales happen just because I want to save money and the sales are a good way to do that
I do because I find the best deals during that time. Sometimes I wait until the post-holiday sales as well.
I typically like to take advantage of the holiday sales on gaming hardware and games, however this year may be different as I'm not even sure products will be available. I will probably wait until next year to purchase any games or new gaming hardware.
I do delay my gaming purchases a little, if we are within a few months of the holidays
Normally I wait until the holiday sales, however this year might be different so I will probably purchase my gaming products before they go out of stock and try to avoid the competition on black Friday.
I have over a thousand steam games and I have them specifically because I wait for sales. I'm not even remotely in a hurry to buy a game at full price usually, especially at launch. By the time the sales come I can know if the game is good or bad from the user reviews while saving money.
I usually delay in order to buy games or consoles at a better price
I made this choice because I feel that it makes the most sense and it easy for me to get the games and deals that I need at a better price. I also do this because it allows me more time to make sure I get what I need.
If it is only a month or two away, I definitely wait and see for either Black Friday sales or if I receive any extra Christmas money.
I mean unless my children ask for it specifically, I usually buy it during the off season just because it seems to be cheaper and easier. I did buy a controller last year for Christmas and it didn't come in until the end of January, but they didn't seem to mind having to wait.
I don't like feeling like I could have saved money, and the sales are so steep during Holiday sales, that I'd rather just wait until then. I feel I can buy more with the savings, and stretch my money farther.
ALWAYS! Always. I always do this because I've been gaming since I was 5 and I didn't buy things ONLY on sale I would have gone bankrupt 10 times over with this hobby and new prices of new pieces of hardware as they enter the market. Once something new comes out I get excited because it means everything older than it gets a tier cheaper and I start looking for deals.
I usually wait to see the sales as I know black friday is coming up.
I picked A over B because I prefer to save money and if it is a new console, I have a backlog of games I can play in the meantime.
I'm someone that really likes a great deal. So I always have patience to try and wait out the best price.
While I am not driven solely by sales, the higher end cost of some hardware and the significant savings offered during the Holidays makes me want to take advantage of those deals. This also enables me to get gifts for others, which I couldn't do as easily outside of the Holiday season.
Yes, I like saving money and getting things much cheaper, so I try to wait and get it on sale ifI can.
Black Friday sales are always worth it to wait. But if its a game I really want I'll just buy it whenever it comes out.
I chose this option (A) mainly because of the wording and the keyword in it being: "sales", which I do wait for, regardless of if they take place during the holiday rush/season or not. For me personally, I tend to purchase anything gaming-related if I am notified of an ongoing or upcoming sale, like I tend to wishlist games and then wait, for example: to get an email update about a Steam sale for one of my wishlisted games.
I do this because the sales are usually significant and I can save a lot of money.
When I buy gaming hardware I usually try to do shopping around a cyber Monday sale
I like to make bigger purchases like electronics and gaming hardware during Black Friday sales, and the other holiday sales that are around because I tend to save quite a bit of money on my purchases this way. Most of my electronics (computer, TV, etc) have been purchased during these sales and I've saved up to $1200 on one product alone doing this.
Gaming hardware isn’t our top entertainment choice but it is supplemental to our family entertainment. Thus we just wait during the holidays for Black Friday pricing to buy games and consoles.
The steam Christmas sell is very well known as a great time to get games. Since most of my friends are gamers, it's really easy to get something most of my friends want without breaking the bank.
Yes. I do my best to wait until the holiday season approaches so that I can save as much money as possible. Usually Black Friday has many great offers on products that I have been waiting for.
I usually wait for sales to purchase any Christmas presents, including hardware and software, but this year I will probably buy some hardware as soon as I see it available since there are so many supply shortages.
I like to save as much money on everything as I possibly can.
Option A because delaying gaming purchases until the Holiday sales can save a lot of money.
I can usually get good deals on games on Steam during the holiday sales, so I wait and stock up then.
I usually delay my purchases for the best deals on Black Friday, mostly for video game software. However, this year I will do my shopping early, regardless of good sales.
Yes, I do tend to wait for holiday time to buy games or systems because you can almost guarantee that's when things are on the biggest sale that they can be. If I really need something or it's one of my favorite series, I will grab it normally, but for everything else, I can wait.
I like to wait until products go on sale to get the best deal
there's usually deals on the gaming stuff I want during the holidays. Might as well wait and get the best price possible.
While I wouldn't say either of these statements are particularly true about me, option A is more accurate. I wait for sales in general, not specifically holiday sales, because I would rather wait and spend less than get things right away. It doesn't matter to me to be on top of trends. I also prefer to purchase old games and hardware, or play games that are free.
If it's not something I need as an emergency, I will often put off purchases until sales. Especially when it comes to software.
You get better sales and deals during holiday season
Because I do not have a high income so is easier and more affordable to wait rather than purchase something expensive to my budget. I really don't like to wait but if it is necessary I will do it.
I prefer waiting for a sale because I am poor and need to save money.
I pick A because in holiday there are discounts which I can save up some money and spend on it on something.
This is when I get the best deals
I see many great deals/freebies, and don't want to waste money.
i do wait for the best deal. this year is different
I usually cannot afford to pay full price for things of that nature or my budget will not really allow it, so if there is something I have been looking to buy or know I will be needing soon, I will usually wait for the holiday sales to see if what I am looking for is affordable or if I can justify making the purchase for the item at a lower price than normal.
I just think it's best to wait to see how it goes for early adopters with gaming hardware.
Overall, the sales do not have to be during Holiday season. They could be earlier in the year and I would take advantage of them. I will generally defer hardware purchases until there are more sales, and if that occurs on the Holidays and products are available, that will be when I buy.
If I can stand to wait, I almost always wait unit Black Friday or Cyber Monday because these days it's a good bet that even games only a few months old will be discounted somewhat on those days (or come with a gift card or some sort of other free extra). This trend has caused me to be vary of buying any games at full price, since I feel like I'm getting a bad deal if I don't get some sort of discount or additional item.
Usually Black Friday sales are pretty good. I don't know what this year is going to be like though.
Because during the holidays they always have promotions like free games with consoles and different stores try to outdo each other with deals.
These things usually go on sale during the holidays. Also I can put these things on a wish list and get them for the holidays for free from relatives.
I prefer to buy gaming things on sale, especially since I don't have a lot of time for gaming in the first place.
I like waiting for a deal as the first releases are the most pricey to me
Even without covid times have been tough the last few years I try to save as much as I can for the holidays and the good sales to purchase a luxury item.
Most games are patched by then and are much cheaper. Also the reviews are out so I can pick up only the best games.
I usually delay because the purchases are considered "luxury" to me and not necessary. Therefore, I wait until the holiday season for sales and discounts.
Choice A. I wait fore the pre holiday sales to get a good price
yes the holiday sales are very hard to beat. They are seemingly the lowest prices of the year and t he best time to catch a deal. Like a black friday sale. I save up to purposely buy gaming hardware during the holiday season cause my money can go further
I have a lot of owned games so I am in no rush to buy new games at full price, so I would rather wait a few months for a sale.
I feel it is smart to save a bit of money. Often I can get a better quality of equipment
i do it to save money where i can
yes I do delay or defer because it allows me to save money and get the games and software at a cheaper price. sometimes the games are even still new and they are already much cheaper.
Yes this is because of the nice discounts and price drops as new models are release at this time making the previous year's a bit cheaper.
I want to get great deals and discounts on my games.
Everything is expensive and holidays usually give the best deals. I will buy hardware if I need something otherwise I will wait until it goes on sale for the holidays. It is getting harder to get items though.
I wait, because that is when you find great deals.
I usually wait for a holiday bundle because it is a better deal.
Yea, usually they will run a sale on a specific item i need or want to get as a gift.
I usually wait for holliday season because I can get it cheaper than during normal sales. I am a deal seeker, and black Friday or the week leading up or after (including cyber monday) make it easy to find sales.
I can usually get a better deal during the holiday season.
I usually try to wait until either holiday season or some other sale in order to buy gaming hardware and software just due to how much can potentially be saved by waiting. There's definitely be times where I just "need" an upgrade or something is more valuable to get right away, but I wait whenever I can.
Yes, I wait for a discount on new games before buying since I usually have a backlog of unplayed games.
I feel like I can get a better deal around the holidays whether it be online or an in store sale or Black Friday.
Most sales are predictable around holiday times so I know that I will be able to save money
Generally speaking, gaming hardware which tends to cost considerably more than mainstream equipment receives its greatest discount towards the holiday season.
With most things, I will always delay for there to be a sale or a discount. I rarely pay full price on anything, it's just most cost-effective.
No, not really, because when I want something gaming related I get it right away.
I get impatient. If I want it, I will buy it ASAP.
I feel like there is a higher risk of the item being sold out if I wait for the holiday sales.
I do not because usually when I want it, I want it.
B had a neat look. It had a good feel and was overall interesting to me.
I get it before it is sold out and on backorder
Especially nowadays, if you want hardware or software you need to buy it while you can. Supplies and supply lines cannot be trusted. If you want it, and it is available, you need to act.
Typically I don't feel reason to wait. The gaming hardware I usually get doesn't change much a price, such as PC parts.
I am an avid gamer, so I would normally purchasing games and accessories as my need arises.. if I were a casual gamer, then I might wait for a sale. When I want something, I will actively shop for it and buy it regardless.
Everyone is delaying these purchases right now because of stock levels however if I could get what I wanted I wouldn't wait. I don't care about what time of year it is when I buy my products
no, i buy it as i need it
The good stuff rarely goes on sale around the holidays, or the discount isn't enough to warrant the wait and the hassle. If it comes to something like an annual title (Call of Duty for instance) you really want to be in on the launch or you're only falling behind.
I usually buy what I need when I need it because it can take a while to arrive during holiday season
I like to buy early and avoid the risk of delays or shipping issues.
If I really want it or need it, I buy it when it is available and at the price I want. There are enough sales throughout the year that it doesn't make sense to wait for 9 months--especially for hardware--to be $10-20 cheaper or bundled with extra things--and miss out for the time in-between.
I usually purchase the products when there's a good sale on them or when there's a good amount of software that i want to buy. Usually that has been outside of the holiday sales .
If there is a game or hardware I really want, I do not wait until holiday sales to get it. But I might buy additional games during holiday sales that I wouldn't have bought otherwise.
I just buy generally when I want to. I am buying for myself after all.
I don’t see the reason for the need to I want that type of product I purchased it.
A lot of the time the hardware is usually sold out, the hardware gets brought up by scalpers and resold for an higher price.
I just buy whenever I feel like, I don't like waiting for sales.
I chose B because I normally don't delay purchases because there's other sales that go on throughout the year.
Most things come out before the holiday season and I like to have things early in the cycle.
I would rather not have to deal with the craziness surrounding the holiday shopping season. I am fortunately in a position that I can afford to purchase gaming hardware without having to wait for any sale.
If I want something I usually try to buy it as soon as its available so I can get to experience the new games as soon as possible.
Around the holidays there are usually a few good deals to be found, even if its just buy 2 get 1 free or something like that. These sales seem to dry up after the holidays. A lot of what I buy is digital so I am not concerned with supply issues.
I think the deals during holiday season sales aren't actually deals but rather marketing tactics. Thus I prefer to make my purchases at any time I wish as long as I find a deal I find attractive.
I buy what I want during the year, but I look for good deals during Holiday season sales
I am a gamer. I buy games all times of the year and not just the holidays so my answer would be no
Generally not, I buy things when I want them. There are some things that I will wait for black friday sales for, but not everything.
If I really want something I don't wait to buy it, during the holidays a lot of stuff is usually sold out anyway.
No I do not usually delay or defer the purchase of gaming hardware or software until the Holiday season sales because during that time the demand is very high.
I tend to buy hardware/software when I want and if I can afford it.
I do not wait until the holidays specifically to purchase. If it happens to be around that time of year, I may wait to see if there will be a sale, but it is not a rule for me.
I try not to wait until the holidays to buy these kinds of products because that is the time when they are most in demand and are likely to be out of stock or very hard to find.
I am old enough to buy things when I want to. Even though I might delay it to the holiday season for consoles because it is like a gift to myself.
I buy games as they go on sale throughout the year.
During the holiday season alot of gaming items become hard to find
Sales are great but I'm impatient. I don't want to wait for the chance that something *might* go on sale.
No, I buy things as I want or need them.
No, I tend to buy things as I need them.
Hardware can be hard to get when there is a rush on cards and such, so personally, I’d rather get them at any other time of the year than wait until everyone else is also trying to get them.
I always look for the best prices, so if something is the best price it has ever been I would buy it before the holiday sales
I do not becuase the holiday season sales just look like its x% off of a price that has already been marked up more than x% so it actually costs you more money than if you buy it off season
If there is something that I want or need in terms of gaming hardware or software (or any hardware or software), I search for the best price and buy it immediately. I don't want for holiday sales because I don't expect the prices to be THAT much better, plus I use a cash rewards credit card to make my hardware and software purchases, so I'm already getting some financial benefit/discount from that.
I will buy games or hardware whenever I see a good price on a game that I want.
when I want gaming hardware (be it computer components or a console) I just want to get it as fast as possible to start enjoying it as fast as possible
I usually do not deffer because I need the parts immediately .
I usually just buy the gaming stuff I want when I want it.
I choose Option B because that`s the way I usually act. The reason is that I know what I want and I do not want to risk it being sold out.
There are a few titles I wait on but mostly if I find a good sale I buy it
I do not delay because I don't want to deal with a potential shortage or not being able to get the gift.
If it is a console, I may, I know they usually have a little bit of extra bundle deals they attempt so I feel like I get a little more and that is my cadence for buying them.
I purchase the gaming hardware/software whenever needed or wanted. Holiday season sales may not be true sales.
If I want it and it's available, I will buy it without waiting for a sale.
It honestly depends on what it is. If it's a game from a series I love, or a new console with a gaming lineup I want, then no, I won't delay my purchase. If it's something I'm on the fence about, then yes, I am more likely to delay until there is a sale or more reviews come out.
I don't usually find that there are significant sales over the holidays anyway, but there are supply problems throughout the year. I'd rather get it when it's available than wait and risk not be able to get what I want. With software, there might not be supply issues with digital, but I'd rather buy when I am most interested in the game than wait and lose interest later.
I will only delay or defer my purchases around this time of year if it the sales are very close, otherwise, I usually opt to be less patient.
I try and wait for any sale, unless I need the game for a certain time frame.
If I want something and have the means to buy it I do.
Not in particular, i wait til i can find the best deal at the price im comfortable with, if it happens during the holidays its coincidence.
I like to wait a while on bigger electronic purchase and read customer reviews before I decide to make the purchase.
I am always looking for the best deals. I find that they occur after the holidays moving into January and Feburary. I purchase for myself so the holidays have no impact on my purchase decisions.
I have always been a gamer so my feelings and emotions about gaming doesn't allow me to wait until the holiday season for gaming purchases. I buy year round.
I buy games based on what's going on in my life, if I have time to enjoy a game
I usually can't help myself when I buy these kinds of things, so I don't wait.
I sometimes find the best deals during the holidays on these items thus i tend to purchase them at these times.
If there's something that I want, I'll get it. I wont wait months for it. If it happens to fall near Christmas, I might wait to see if there's a sale around black Friday, but otherwise I just buy what I want when I want it.
I usually look for sales through the year on the things I want to buy. I don't think the holiday sales are as good as they were years ago, so I just keep an eye out throughout the year.
If I can afford it ahead of time, I'd rather not fight for small amounts of savings. And generally I can afford it ahead of time due to smart saving.
I buy games all year long. I do not wait until the Holiday season at all. January through December, I'm buying games, controllers, and sometimes even consoles.
I feel like any sales going on during the holiday season aren't actually sales at all. Usually it's just a special bundle that still costs the same as if you bought it regularly. Why wait four months to save at most $20?
I have two teenage gamers in the house, and their Christmas lists are typically a list of games they want. for that reason, we would not delay the purchases; the games are a large part of Christmas morning.
Even during normal times, gaming consoles and systems and software are hard to find during the holiday season but this year is particularly bad because of the supply chain issues. If my children are expecting gaming hardware or software this year, I tried to get them as soon as possible.
Getting something involved in gaming at this point in time is extremely difficult, so I will grab something new the moment that I see it with all of the delays and stress at getting the newest gaming hardware. It took me months to acquire a new graphics card and things are only staying hard to find, so I would never delay the purchase at this point-- but in the future, I could delay until there are sales. Typically though, finding the thing is a lot more rare and difficult enough without adding the sale aspect.
I will usually buy things ahead of time.
I don't usually have a reason to. I don't generally get gaming hardware or software until it's been out a year or so and the price has come down and I have moneyfor them. I don't wait for holidays.
I want to make sure I get what I need on time, and gaming hardware doesn't usually offer really great sales anyway.
I do not usually delay the purchase of gaming hardware and software until the holiday sales. I prefer to get them as soon as possible, even if it means costing more.
Between the summer sales programs by steam, epic etc for games and the microchip shortage causing all video cards and processors being so limited there are long, long queues to get them; these days I just try to get what I can. As to the consoles, I just play games on PC for the most part. The games for consoles tend to be 20$+ higher even with black friday/holiday sales.
No. If I want a videogame or piece of equipment I usually get it right away.
I used to work for a major retailer of electronics and the holiday sales historically were more expensive than off season sales. When you compare the data, it is very easy to see. Also sales during this inflation period will likely be worse compared to better years like 2018 - 2020.
I always compare prices. Sometimes, the best deals are after the holidays.
It makes more sense for me to just get the things I need when I need them, despite if they're new or used. I am not a typical consumer, buying new all the time - I buy used a lot, mainly.
NO I typically buy hardware when I need it or can afford it. I dont wait till the holidays.
Unless I know that the software/hardware will be on sale for sure, I will usually just buy whatever I want, especially for smaller purchases like older games or smaller pieces of hardware. Also, hardware and physical copies of games could be really hard to purchase during the sales.
I don't delay because I suspect the holiday sales prices were raised up from their normal prices to give the illusion of a sale. Also, if I want something I don't want to wait for it
The reason I don’t delay buying it is because there will be other times that it will be on sale.
I don’t usually wait. If there is something that I really want, I usually do not try to adhere to a specific time frame.
I like to have the latest tech, so I normally buy it when it is first available.
Holiday season sales are not always the best sales, plus stock generally runs low at those times so even if there is a sale it may be hard to purchase then. Also, for anything released far away from a holiday, it might mean waiting longer than I'd be comfortable depending on the product.
I try not to defer the purchase till the holiday season because quantities tend to be limited and I rather not take the chance of not getting the product.
When I want games, I purchase them. I do browse for deals but I prefer having things sooner.
