Option C won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 101 votes after 1 round of vote counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 |
---|---|
C | 50.5% 101 votes |
E | 22.5% 45 votes |
B | 17% 34 votes |
D | 6.5% 13 votes |
A | 3.5% 7 votes |
I'm a visual person, so there's a lot to be said for the influence the icon has for me. It's the first thing you usually see of app and helps you recognize it. With that said, Option A is by far the top pick for this reason.
I feel that the icon is the most important aspect followed closely by available screenshots. After that, other aspects like description as well as user ratings are still important, but lesser so. I don't really feel that the number of downloads has much merit seeing as those could be easily manipulated.
The icon and screenshots first capture my visual attention. I next read the description about what it's about. I then read what other have to say. Lastly I consider how many downloads it has.
I won't even look at an app with a bad icon. Then I want to see what the game looks like. I don't care how many people have downloaded it.
I feel like the thing that I first notice for an app while looking to download is the icon for the app and how appealing it looks.
icon pulls you in when searching for a new app
More apps have trash icons that look like scams! The overall look and feel is very important for the impression of quality.
The screenshots usually catch my attention first. If it looks interesting I will read the description. Then I will check out the ratings and reviews.
I like to see what the game will look like as I play it which helps me determine if I will like it.
Seeing look of the app is I,portent, then ratings
The screenshots are what is most important to me. I have to see the gameplay to see if it would be something that I am interested in playing. The character design will have a big part in my decision as well.
For me the screenshots are what I look at the most, mostly because you can have a cool icon, but the interface can be trash, so I look for that first, followed by ratings. I'm least concerned about the number of downloads.
I ranked my choices in the order that I use these.
The screenshots give me the best idea of the game, so option B is my preference here. Reviews are a large part of the equation, but I rely on my own opinion as well. The description (option E) is useful, but number of downloads and icon don't impact my choice very much.
I tend to judge apps based on it's appearance first like the screenshots. I like the description of the app also. Ratings help me decide too.
I tend to look at the screenshots to get an idea of how the game looks. Then I scroll down and check the recent reviews to see if any players are reporting issues with the current version of the game.
I ranked the factors of a mobile game that I found the most compelling. I found the screenshot of the game to be the most important followed by ratings/reviews, then the description of the game. I then find the icon more important than the number of downloads.
Screenshots are hands down the first thing I look for. I want to know if I like how it looks and will enjoy using it, and if it looks like it is not-annoying, modern, well-designed. Description is what I'd look at next--what is the game about, and does it sound fun? The icon is important because it's part of the design...the people making it either understand design and visuals or they don't; if the icon isn't good, they don't. Rating/reviews are important in general, but I haven't found them that useful in the Google Play store...I don't get the impression that a high enough percentage of average users rate games/apps to make the reviews useful. Don't care about the number of downloads, unless it is very very low, like 10, which would make me wonder if this is something just in beta testing.
The screenshots speak to me. I need to see a visual of what I'm getting into.
First I see if it looks like something I would like to play based on images and descriptions. Then I would see some reviews. Number of downloads isn't important as it could be new.
Screenshots are far and way my number 1. If they look boring, I won't bother.
The game has to look good and sound like something I would be interested in. The rest I don't normally look at a whole lot.
It is important when deciding on whether to download to know the context. I became a user when the words come to life.
A picture is worth a thousand words which makes in game screenshots the top spot. Checking if the description matches those screens is the next big thing for me followed by the reviews.
The most important thing is game play, I don't care what other people care about it, the game just may not line up with what I like, so the ability to look at it and know the game play is the most important.
I usually look at the pictures and see if it is a game I would like.
I think that screenshots give the best description of the game. The description is helpful secondary content. Reviews are important but not everything. A good icon is nice. The number of downloads isn't very important.
I want to know if a game will be fun so I look at the screenshots, reviews, and description. Then I have a pretty good idea of what the game is about. After that, the number of downloads and icon.
I have to admit that good looking screenshots matter a lot. The icon is one of the other first things I see. I will then check the description if I am interested and then the reviews. Number of downloads is meaningless to me.
I want to be able to form my own opinion of the game without other people weighing in before i look at what others say
Reviews and screenshots of the game are the most important factor for me to download and try out the game.
I find screenshots to be the most valuable because they typically do a good job of telling me what the game will be like. Even if a game has a high number of downloads, that doesn't necessarily mean I will enjoy it.
First the game needs to be attractive, so screenshots are important. then i want to see if other people enjoy it so reviews are #2. If the game looks good and the reviews are good, i need to see if the description matches what i want in a game. If those are satisfactory, the last 2 aren't that important.
I always base games first on what the screenshots look like because, for me, it gives me a good idea of if I will enjoy the game or not.
I think that the screenshots tell me a lot about whether i will like the style and look of the game and will give me a general interest level and then the description is generally the thing that decides whether i will download it after that
It's all about how does the game look. If it does not look good I can not get myself to play the game for a long time. The screenshots of the game are what you will be looking it for the most part when playing the game. It should look good.
I would rank them in this order. Of these options, choice B is the top factor for me. With screenshots you get to see the graphics and game play. If it looks good I will possibly download or at least look into the game more.
The screenshots are the first thing that grab my attention because if it doesn't look like something I would be interested in from just the screenshot I won't even give it any more time. The rating and review is also very important because I value other's opinions and want to play something that I know others have taken the time to try and rate.
The first thing that draws me in when I'm looking at apps on the Google Playstore are the screenshots.
Screenshots and description are the most important
First the screenshots will get my attention or not if the game LOOKS fun. Then I will look at the description to see if I want to play it and finally rating/reviews are important to see if others think it's good or bad. Number of downloads and icon are irrelevant.
The ratings and reviews are by far the most important because that is how I try to figure out if it is a good game or app or not.
I chose them based on my personal preferences
I am drawn most to the reviews. I spend the most time looking at them and if I see a lot of bad ones I don’t even bother looking at anything else.
Reviews are pretty important. They should be real and have many downloads with them so that it means something.
Rating are important. I need to know that it’s not terrible. Screenshots must show gameplay, not just cut scenes. Description is important, but essentially propaganda. The rest are unimportant
c-I always look at the ratings because there have been many times that i have downloaded an app that was awful and broken. b- i like to see what the game should look like. e-the description is a good way to get a little more info on what you may be downloading d- SOMETIMES this is useful information, but if the program is broken, it doesn't mean much. a-it really doesn't matter what the icon looks like
Ratings and reviews are always the most important, as that determines the quality in my opinion.
I pay attention to the reviews of an app I'm thinking about downloading. The other factors do not come into play.
I normally check the ratings and the number of downloads to verify that the reviews are legitimate and accurate.
Ratings are top. Ratings refer to the overall for the entire app, and if something major is wrong, from any category, this will flesh it out
I put a fair amount of trust in reviews if they look genuine
I really like reading the ratings and reviews as that gives me an unbiased assessment of the app that helps solve any of the questions that I may have regarding the function and safety of it.
Ratings, and reviews are the most important to me. They are tested testimonies on the product, and are usually the driving force when I am undecided.
Icon helps draw attention originally but what others people say about the game helps tremendously. This is true of other things than just games too
C. Ratings and reviews is the most critical thing because this gives you the best idea of the quality of the app. The ratings and reviews do go hand in hand with number of downloads though, this is almost as important maybe just as important because if there are great reviews and only a few of them it's not totally convincing.
So option D is right out, just because someone has tried it does not mean I will like it. Option A is kind of out too because anyone can make a neat icon. A well written description means a lot and can be an indicator of quality, so E is third. Screenshots are very hard to fake so they are usually something I check out. Finally, reviews can be faked but are difficult to manipulate in strength.
I think Rating and reviews play the biggest part because then you know other people liked it. Screenshots are important so you can see what the game looks like. Download means to me there is a lot of people playing it. Description is also a big thing.
I simply chose these in the order of importance overall
The ratings/reviews are the most important thing. I trust other people more than any image or description.
The most important, to me, is the reviews because they're the ones that tells me if it is worth downloading this app or not. I rather know in advance than waste my time or space.
I always look at what the reviews say to get me excited. Also the screenshots are important but not first. Number of downloads sometimes matters and sometimes doesn’t.
Reviews help me get a sense of what other people think of the product, which is helpful, but I also like to see screenshots to see how the app actually works. Very nice for sure!
First thing I check for is ratings and reviews to see if there's additional DOC or bugs.
Number of downloads and reviews are by far the most important factor when looking at apps. That tells you quickly how generally good or bad the application is. Description is also important but I generally feel like when I am searching for apps I already know what I am mostly looking for so description is really just to confirm you found the right thing.
I would look at the review first because it is important to know what other people think of the game and what they all have in common to being with.
Rating and reviews tell me almost all I need to know about an app; if it has low reviews, it's usually not worth downloading or even considering. I rarely look at something below 3.5 stars.
The reviews from others is usually very helpful
Rating and reviews to give confident to the user it's a legit app not just a scam app. Number of downloads play an important part for this, too.
I always start with reviews.
I mostly based my decision on the reviews and description of the game. I read the description to get a general idea of what the game is about. Then, I read the reviews to identify the strengths and weaknesses.
I typically use this order on any app that I am looking to purchase or download.
I read reviews on everything. they are always helpful
I feel that the icon really tells you almost nothing. Screenshots and descriptions are similar. It's kind of like a movie trailer. Even bad movies can look good in a 1-2 minute advertisement. Ratings is the biggest factor, although if the number of downloads was much under 100k I probably wouldn't look into it.
Ratings and description are mainly what draw me in, especially the ratings like if people are saying it is buggy and not fun to play I will not download.
The ratings and reviews seem to always be the biggest factor. Other players are key to enjoying this game. I feel that the description is also very important. This is good to know what you are getting into. The screenshots are not bad either and good to find out what you'll be playing. Number of downloads is tricky and not representative of how good the game is necessarily. I think the icon is the last thing to judge the game by. But ratings are the biggest point of impact and that's what matters the most.
I consider ratings and reviews to be most important because the game has to be good, then I see if the game is something I want to play. The other things are nice but not something I look at heavily.
I chose C because ratings are indicative of the popularity of the game. In addition number of downloads is also a good measure. Both give me an idea of whether or not I would be interested in downloading.
I chose choice C because the ratings and reviews tell me how the app actually works. I then go by downloads to see how popular it is and the icon is the last thing since it usually isn't relevant to the gameplay.
I would first look at the ratings to determine if its something that people like. Then I would read the description to see if I would enjoy the game. The other 3 would have very little to do with if I want to download it.
I picked C as my top choice as I like to see what others would say about the app. I picked E as my next choice as it tells me about the app.
the reviews/rating are most beneficial
I always look at the rating to see if it's above say 4.0 to know if it's worth it, then I look for higher ratings, then I will look at the deisgn and screenshots to gauge the quality or learn about the features of the app, then read the descirption, the icon is somewhat something i notice but doesnt really matter, nor do the number of downloads
I trust ratings and reviews a lot so would look at that first. The other thing that is really easy to judge quickly is the icon because you can usually see both the ratings and icon before actually clicking on an app. The descriptions and screenshots would have about equal weight for me to see if I'd like the app itself. Number of downloads would have a low impact to me.
I think the ratings and reviews give it the best insight to how much people like the game. The screenshots are important because it lets you see what the game is like.
I like reviews best that are honest, downloads show a closer number to how popular it is, description is always okay, screenshots are good, icon is meh
REviews - as with any product - are the key. Plus I like to read the negative ones to see what they say. Descriptions and overall number of downloads lead me to get some comfort was well.
c - i look to the reviews immediately. if it has bad reviews i don't proceed any further.e - it needs to have a good description, that is simple but descriptive. b - it needs to have good screenies of the actual game, not some doctored photos of things that never happen in the game or are cutscenes. actual gameplay screenshots.d - if a lot of people play it it's probably a good game.a - i dont really look at the icon.
I always look at the ratings first. Anyone can put an app up, make a nice picture and make nice claims about the product. The big question is : what do other people who have downloaded it and used it think of the app? It might just be a badly designed app and you wouldn't know if you hadn't tried it. Others would have already done what you would do and could give insights into problems they had with the app.
Option C because if the ratings/reviews aren't good, then there is no need to go any further.
Icon is probably my least looked at. First, I want to see reviews, because if a lot of people are complaining it's a scam or bad, I don't bother with it. Description and screenshots are a good indicator of what the game is about and if I'd be interested.
I like a game that is good. Thus I think Ratings/Reviews and the number of number of downloads are important. I get a better sense of what other people think of the game.
Great reviews will get me to download the game the fastest.
C is my first choice because the ratings and reviews will tell me if this game is fun to play or if I am wasting my time. E is my second choice because I need the description to see if I am interested in this game. D is my next choice because the number of downloads also goes along with ratings and how popular it is. If it is popular it must be fun. A is my next choice because it is always good to have a cool Icon. B is my last choice because screenshots could be misleading.
Really all of these options are important to me, but I would honestly check out the ratings and reviews first, so C.
ultimately i look to reviews to tell me whether or not the app is worth it or does what it says it does
I would like a game to have good ratings for both content and performance if I'm going to spend my time downloading it or possibly payiong for it. The Icon and number of downloads is inconsequential to me.
the number of users and reviews of those users are more important than what icon the app uses. i want actual results and feedback of what i'd be getting
the number of reviews and ratings of those users are more important than what icon the app uses. i prefer real feedback and results of what i'd be getting
I really care about reviews as it gives me the best understanding of the product / game I am downloading and if it will be good and meet my needs. I don't care so much about number of downloads as that doesn't make a difference. From there, I care about the description as it gives me a better understanding of the game itself followed by screenshots and then the icon
I dong care about an icon at all, i want to know if it is a good app, which is why the rating and number of people hold so much weight.
I think the two most important things are the reviews and the number of downloads
The reviews are important, and I read through them even if the game has a 5/5 rating, it is better to find real opinions on the game first
The customer rating have a lot to do with whether it looks like it is a good game or not. Also, I need a good description so I can tell whether or not it will even be a games I would be interested in.
It is probably a tie between rating and description. It has to sound fun, but it also needs to be rating highly as not buggy, etc.
I always go for the reviews first. Also is easily to determine if reviews are real
Reviews and Ratings are the most important, but I need to see that they're real and not paid ones.
I use reviews in making my decisions for everything, so this would be no different. Then I would read the description and see if it is something I like and would use. Icons get my attention too. I'm not that worried about the screenshots or the number of downloads.
I went with C first because it helps to have a working knowledge of whether or not the product works and how do other users feel about the product. The next thing I look at is how the game actually looks (option B). I want to have a sense and feel for the game. D was next because I find it helpful as to how many people are actually using the product. It was a toss up between E and A, because I feel those are don't provide enough and the right context for me to make the decision whether or not to download an app.
My number one deciding factor is always user reviews with anything. Also, the number of downloads is important as there’s a lot of fake reviews these days.
Ratings are my number one concern for a game. If people say its good, I will download it and try it for a couple days. There isn't any harm in it and if I don't like it, I will delete it.
ratings and reviews first...and i read both the good and bad to see what people are complaining about and enjoynig.
Made my choices based on what i find to be the most important to least important to me when it comes to downloading a game from the google play store
I like reading reviews before I download any app. Too many negative reviews and I don't care how "cute" it looks, will not download. I like to read the description of the app, what am I downloading. Have many others downloaded, if not a brand new app, if there aren't many users, there's usually a reason. Not sure I really care what the icon is nor the screenshots. The pictures are not key, the content is.
To me the only 2 items that matter here are the Description and the ratings/review. I want to know what the game is about and whether or not people think it is good.
For me, the ratings and reviews are most important because they indicate how other people feel about it, and it would probably extend to me as well. The description is next because I'm not interested in downloading something unless it has the characteristics that are appealing to me. The rest of the items on the list are much less important to me.
Choice C is the most important because I only want to download apps that have good reviews. It shows that they have been rated highly which means that they are good and trustworthy by the community. Choice D is second because a high number of downloads show that the app is popular and something that a lot of people use. That means it is more trustworthy to me. Choice E is third because an interest description will draw me into the app and tell me a lot about it. Choice B is fourth because I can see how the app looks and get an idea for it. Choice A is last because the icon can draw me in but if the other choices are bad then it does not matter.
The reviews and number of downloads are the first thing that I look at see see how many people are using it and is there are favorable reviews.
Reviews are most import to me
Ratings mean an awful lot to me. As I have shopped online over the years, I really depend on them. That would be my feeling for the app as well. Second, I would read the description rather carefully. The number of downloads is not as important to me.
Reviews are most important to me. I care about star ratings and what people think the most. Second is how popular it is (downloads).
C is the most important thing to me because if it doesn't work right or crashes frequently and is glitchy, I would not download it at all. I really rely on reviews and that has worked for me so far.
I ranked them by what I feel does a best job at giving information about the quality of the app. Ratings does the best job at that since it shows me pros and cons about it. Descriptions is okay, but does not fully tell me everything about the app. D and B shows me a bit about the app, but not a whole much. An apps icon is pretty useless to me.
I chose Option C, reviews/ratings, first because when I'm browsing around and looking to try some new games, or checking out a game I heard about from a friend or family member, I look at the amount of stars it has, then see what the chief complaints are about the game. This heavily influences whether I even consider buying/downloading the game. Secondly, Option D, number of downloads, also affects my decision because I feel that if there are more downloads of a particular game, then I assume it is popular for a good reason. I chose Option E third, the description, because once I determine the game is "worth it" to the community through reviews and downloads, I want to see the description from the developer to get an idea of what the game is, what type of game it is, and get a sense of the overall environment of the game. Option A, icon, is fourth because while this does tend to influence my decision a bit, what I'm really looking for is whether the icon shows quality in general. When I say that I mean, does it look like they used a graphic designer to take an element or idea about the game and put effort into showing in a single, small image, the overall feel of the game. If the icon is lazy or badly done, then this influences my opinion a bit, but not a lot. Lastly I ranked Option B, screenshots, last because typically I don't look much at the screenshots, or I already have my mind made up once I look at the screenshots. I tend to look at them right before I download just to cement or reinforce the opinion I have already formed in my mind. Unless there is something in the screenshots that shows the gameplay is completely not my style (which is different from person to person), then I tend to not let the screenshots influence my decision to purchase or download. But Option C, the reviews/ratings, is the most important factor for me.
Definitely the most important factor is the reviews. If the reviews/ratings are really good, then I know the game is very good.
The very first thing I do is read through a bunch of ratings/reviews. If something is rated highly but has a small number of downloads, I am not as likely to purchase it over something rated slightly lower with thousands of downloads. Both the description and the screenshots are also very important -- I need to know specifically what the app can do and I also like to see examples of the user interface. So long as the app does what I need it to do and has good reviews, I do not care at all what the icon looks like.
C and D are highly motivating for me. If I can see that other people have used and trust the app then it makes me more comfortable and confident in doing the same.
When downloading from the Play store I always read through the reviews first. The reviews can tell a lot about an app because people will talk about bugs, customer support, and features in a review. Next, I read the description because sometimes what the title says can be a little misleading. My third thing I look at is the number of downloads because if not many people use the app, the app probably won't get updated, and may not be very useful. Screenshots are the next thing I look at because I want to see what I'm actually getting. I ranked the icon last because the icon doesn't provide much information on the app itself, so I don't rely on it for much.
I look at review first and read a few. If it is highly ranked, I will look at the icon and description to see if it was something I am interested in. Then I download.
Reviews are the most important thing. They tell you everything you need to know about the game.
I usually look at the ratings and reviews first. Then I look at the number of downloads. I think the description is important too but I usually already know what it's about before I get to that point. The last two aren't that important to me.
The reviews are most important so I know whether the app works well or not, whether people enjoy the app or not. I dont like having a lot of apps on my phone, so if I do choose to download one I want to make sure it is a good app worth having.
I tend to see what other people thing and look at the description. In addition, I like to see screenshots of the games. Icon matters less to me as I've bought games that sucked but had great icons and vice versa.
I like option C the best because the rating system is a pretty good indication of how good the game is. Option B is a close second place for me because I like to see what the game will look like before downloading it.
Ratings reviews are definitely the highest of these options because they usually are the best reflection of the game, from there I care more about the description and screenshot as compared to the icon (which doesn't have much to do with the game) or the number of downloads (which can be deceiving).
I would choose choice C all the time. Reviews are my biggest thing so that I know if the game is good or bad.
Yes, everyone loves ratings (C). We want to see what others thing of the product, whether there are any bugs in the gameplay, whether the game is engaging. Screenshots (B) give us a good idea of how the game looks and how it plays. Descriptions tell us what kind of game it is, the theme, and a little about what we can expect from the game. Icons are usually the first thing we see of the game, and should be eye-catching, but in the end are not the most important thing when deciding to download. And I don't care how many people DLed the game, just what they thought of it.
The quality of the product is the most important, which I would gauge from reviews and number of downloads
I always read reviews of games before downloading. Screenshots help with seeing the interface. The description helps with knowing what is expected. The number of downloads and icons are not important.
Reviews are always #1. People can be quite honest. No one wants to be disappointed, or out money, if they can help it. Description, also important. I do not care for how many of downloaded or what the icon looks like.
Obviously the description, E, is important to even knowing what the app is about. That said, I ultimately choose an app based on other user reviews and what I see in the screenshots. The icon and number of downloads aren't that important to me.
Option C, ratings and reviews are the most important to me. Because I do not wish to download a bad app. Also the screenshots are important so I can see what the app looks like.
It's got to be something downloaded by a lot of people usually before I'll even think about it. Reviews are easily manipulated, but they are still very useful. After that I don't really use the other items too much. I don't need much of a description because i probably already know what im looking for
I am not an early adopter so downloads tells a lot for me coupled with ratings.
the downloads usually tells the tale of the app/game, high downloads is usually a good thing, low definitely not
How other people feel about it either through number of users or ratings is important
I initially of course am going to look at the game itself, what kind of game it is the art style and if it's appealing, then if I do find it appealing I'll look at things like how popular it is, the ratings, how well designed the icon and description is, and finally the screenshots.
Downloads and ratings are important because it shows me its popular and trusted
I figure if several others have downloaded and rated well it is a good product.
I ranked them according to my priorities.
Downloads and reviews are very close for me. I thinks descriptions and screenshots always look better than the actual game. I never really pay attention to the icon. I use the name of the game more than the icon.
I generally look to the number of downloads and then screenshots of the app to make my decision. The rest of the choices are just extra to me.
Number of Downloads matters most because good reviews still need large sample sizes to be more meaningful. Ratings matter a good deal once there are a good number of reviews. Ratings without downloads are too unreliable. Description matters because it tells me about the game more, even though ratings and downloads are more reliable than a description. Screenshots can be useful for knowing if a game is in a genre I like and is not simply a gambling game. Description can share more, but screenshots can give a bit of visual guidance. Icon gives less info than anything else. The only useful thing about icons is maybe knowing what franchise a game is from.
The umber of downloads gives me an idea of how well the game is viewed overall, and informs me about the number included in the ratings. If the number of downloads is small, the ratings mean less.
D) I like to know if a lot of people are playing the game. If a lot of people downloaded the game, that usually means that the game is fun.C) I like to see that a game have a lot of good reviews so I don't waste my time with something that is not good.E) I like to read the description to know if the type of game it is would be something that I would be interested in.B) Being able to see what the game actually looks like when in play can definitely help me decide whether or not to download it.A) The icon isn't very important to me at all.
The description lets me know if the game is something I'd be interested in, the ratings and downloads let me know what sort of standing the app has, B just shows me if the game is visually appealing.
I think for me I look first and foremost at the description as that is what gets my attention first, then I look at reviews and how many people have downloaded, finally the icon and the screenshots are last.
The description and ratings are the most important to me because those two things tell me whether or not I would be interested in playing the game. The other aspects are useful but they are not key.
The plot and graphics are the game are the main reasons why I choose to either download it or move on to the next option.
I find B and A rather unimportant to if I want to get an app as I believe it wouldn't tell me much. The first three would give me a much better idea of what I am downloading as C will tell me how popular it is and D will tell me how many people have it. I picked E first as I think the description will give the details on if it would be worthwhile enough to download.
Description first because I want to know what the game is about. I also look at the ratings because I want to know if people that have tried the game enjoy playing it or if they had issues with the app.
When I look at an app, I always read the description first to see if it sounds interesting. Then I look at the screenshots to see if it looks interesting and fun. If it does, then I check out the ratings. Oftentimes, fun looking games have bad ratings. After that, I notice the icon and the downloads.
Obviously my first thing would be to look at the description of the game to see what it is. I want to know what I am playing. Then I would look at the screenshots to see what the game looks like. All of the rest of the factors are interchangeable.
Mostly I read the descriptions to see what the app does or its benefit for me.
The description is the most informative. The ratings give an indication of value. The screenshots offer context. The downloads represent value. The icons is useless.
First I want to know if i'm interested in it and how others rate it
Description is most important for me as I use to determine whether or not it would be somehting I'm interested in. Number of downloads comes next because it shows how popular the app is. Ratings/reviews come next because they show user feedback. Screenshots and icons are not very important for me, unless the app looks horrible.
definitely E and A are what I care about most in picking a game
I picked them in order of the amount of information that I would glean from each.
Option e is my choice bevause if i do not like the general theme of the product, i will go no further.
The icon doesn't matter so A 5. The most important is how popular it is so E 1 and how well rated it has been so D 2. C > B so C 3 and B 4
Knowing what I am going to download and play is probably most important
Knowing what the game looks like and seeing the type of game is most important in my opinion.
The description is the single most important item, it must be clear and contain all of the features I am looking for. I also care about the reviews and the total number of downloads.
More details about the game tell me a lot more than the icon would, and the number of downloads can be deceiving because it could be downloaded a lot but then deleted because it's bad.
I want to know what the app does and what it will look like to use it. Sometimes the reviews are trash, people just complaining about nonsense, but sometimes they are helpful. I don't care how many people have it as long as it does what I need.
What the game is about is clearly most important. Then i want to know the look of the game. After that, what other people think is the most important factor. Number of downloads and app icon are pretty irrelevant to me
mostly I go by whether or not the description is interesting and if it looks like something I would want to play then I look at the reviews
I picked description 1st because I would learn what the game is all about. I also would look at the rating and screen shots to heol see if I would like this game.
The description and icon have to look interesting to me before I will go any further any read the reviews to possibly download the app
I want to get to know the game via the description and screenshots. If I like those things, I will move on to reviews to make sure the app works well, especially with my device (because my device is a little older).
description will let me know if that game fits my style or not
In order to choose a good game, you always need to read the description. It tells you a little about the game before you spend your time downloading it.
When downloading a game, I obviously decide based on whether the game is fun and interesting to me. Thus the description will tell me what it is about, the ratings and number of downloads will give me a good idea of how many people have enjoyed it.
The description is the most important. That tells me what it is and what to expect. Then I look at the ratings/reviews to see if other people enjoyed or were satisfied with the game. It tells me whether the description is acurate. Then I pay attention to the icon and screenshots just to see the quality of the game. I don't really care about downloads and this usually doesn't factor much into my choice.
The description is the most important thing. A game needs to sound worth playing and something that I would be interested in. Pictures or videos also go a long way.
The more about the actual game the better. I know my kids probably just look at the icon more than anything else but I want to know what it is and how it is played. The review and number of downloads do not mean much to me. I know that those can be untrue and lack lots of credibility.
The description is 99.9 of my decision. Seeing and knowing ABOUT what I am downloading is far more important than others opinions and art work.
Description is the most detailed way to learn about the app. D and C indicate quality. B and A offer context.
Definitely like seeing what it's about first.
Option E (Description) is by far the most important as it gives me an idea whether or not the game is my cup of tea. Option D is helpful as it gives me an idea how well-received a game is -- if it's popular, chances are I would enjoy it too. Option C is useful, so I get an idea what to expect. Option B (screenshots) shows me the ambiance and puts me into the mood of playing. Option A isn't too important.
Ranked based on my personal preference. Description, Ratings are the most deciding factors
I chose E first because I would like a description of the app to see if I am at least interested in the product. Then I would look further at the app.
The description of the app (Option E) is my top choice because the functionality of the app matters the most to me, and the description provides the most information about what the app actually does. Ratings/reviews (Option C) are the next most important because they can provide potentially unbiased reasons to download the app or to not download it; I'll avoid downloading apps that are under 4/5 stars. Screenshots (Option B) are the next most important because similar to the description, they also help to show what the app actually does, and provide information on how easy the app is to use. The number of downloads is the next most important (Option D); I don't care too much about the download number, but all else equal, I'll prefer apps that have more downloads since they are likely more professional and have better support and fewer bugs. The icon (Option A) is least important to me; I don't really care about the icon at all.
If the description and the screenshots aren't enticing enough, I won't download a game. I need to know what I'm getting involved with beforehand.
The description is the most important to me.
I real need to be interested in playing a game...a description is key. I also tend to forget what I've downloaded so a colorful icon is really helpful, otherwise I tend to delete things I not used in awhile. I like at least a 3 ranking...but am not tied to it. Not at all into screen shots. Number of downloads are also not a priority. I tend to like games others don't anyway so...:))
I chose (E) as my first choice, because the description is very important to me, I have to know if it is something I will enjoy, before I download it, (B) second because I want to know what it looks like, and if it is pleasing to my eyes, (A) third, (C), and then (D).
I go right for the description and ratings from other users.
Description (E) is #1. If the app doesn't fit my needs, I do not download. Next most important is # of downloads (D) because if others find the app useful, maybe I will too. I also look at reviews (C) to see whether the app can be trusted to work properly. The remaining factors (B and A) are not important to me.
