Option B won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 51 votes after 4 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.

Mychoice iaoption A as rank because if we want to read 1 book mean we first know the author name and knowhow many books the author has been writeen and upload in audubleso i choose
I tend to look for books by authors I am familiart with first. Absent that I look at a list of books in the genre I am interested in.
Most of my audiobooks are nonfiction / computer science related so I typically go with my favorite authors in that regard, followed by user reviews to let me know what i'm getting myself into.
I tend to go towards the authors that I love and admire.
If i am able to find a good author who writes in a way that i enjoy i know that i will like more of their stories.
Option A. The author is most important as it sets the level of credibility on the subject matter of the book.
If a new book by a favorite author is released, I will immediately go for that. Otherwise, if I am searching for something to listen to, I while search first by genre, then look at reviews, then listen to an excerpt to see if I like the narrator.
I always look for an Author I know first but will try a genre I like from an author unfamiliar to me.
I'm surprised that you don't have narrator listed. It's a big deal for me because some narrators are difficult to understand.
I follow several authors, so thats always my first choice, secondly the description, hearing the voice is good some are insufferable to listen to, option b and e are nice to haves but not as important for me
When purchasing audiobooks, I don't really do much experimentation with different authors or genres, so the author is usually the biggest determining factor since I typically only buy audiobooks written by authors I know.
i generally buy audiobooks for series i am reading, so it is a purchase i make based on the authors of my series choice
I tend to follow authors I like so that is the most important aspect to me
I have particular tastes, and I don't trust others reviews. If the excerpt gets my attention, I'll buy. I usually have certain authors I'll buy when they release something, or if I like something else by them. After that it's by genre.
Option "A": As an avid reader, the author search would be my starting point for looking for a new title to purchase; second only to the genre.
I normally look up the author since I am picky of who I read from. B and E are also important since I do not like most genres and how it stands out compared to other books. D and C don't matter too much for me and I don't rank them high when looking for a book.
My favorite Authors is always the top reason to check for me. The description of the book/story is important too when deciding. I like a decent amount of Genres so while not the most important, going for ones I'm interested in will factor in as well. Reviews of course are important, but not nearly as much as the rest.
i have to like the speaker, i cant stand some and wont listen to teh book
I ranked my ideas based off what I deemed most important.
Most important to me is the reputation of the author. A good creator typically creates good content that doesn't need heavy vetting.
Author and genre are like two eyes.so most people will consider these two first
I chose A because if a favorite author comes out with an audiobook, I will purchase it. There is no need to read about the book, I will buy it regardless. Next choice is B, I tend to stick with one genre, so it's important to choose a book from that certain genre. D is next because if I really like the book description, I would buy the audiobook. If I come across and excerpt that I really like I would but the audiobook, but it's rare for me to come across such an excerpt so C would be second to last. My last choice would be E because I don't rely on reviews because reviews are opinions and it's rare that my opinions align with someone else's opinion.
The author is important because I would look for audiobooks by authors that interest me. From there I would look for genres I like. Genres that capture my interests.
I want to get to know what the book is about first and than see the reviews to see if it is well written and worth the time I would invest in it.
I consider these factors when looking at an audio book to listen to
I generally go with the author I am familiar with or the books genre. Occasionally I will look at the reviews if I am unsure.
I like these choices overall, it's pretty close though
Definitely has to be a subject I'm interested in, then I'd like to know more about what the book is about.
The book would have to be in a genre i like to read, with a description that catches my attention, with possibly an except. I am not too worried about reviews and the author
What is most important to me is the genre and the book description, once the two is okay by me, others factors can follow.
actually I prefer audiobooks that I have read before in a hard copy version, so my preferences would be mostly based the genre and the author. If I like the reviews or the description of the book, I would first have the hard copy, and if I liked it, then after some years I would like to buy the audio version of it.
I usually start by looking through the genre that I am interested in reading then I look what other have to say about the options.
I think that, similar to buying a traditional book, the genre and the author are the most important factors for me. I am not going to listen to an audiobook if it's not a genre that I'm interested in, or if it's not from an author that I appreciate. I also think it's important to know who the narrator is, and to be able to hear a sample of the audiobook before purchasing.
To me genre is the most important part. I like to read a certain genre and story.
I want to know what genre the book is. I want to know exactly what kind of book it is before I start investing my time into it
I ranked the factors of when I purchase an audiobook that I liked the most. I found the genre to be the most important followed by Book description followed by the Author. I then look at the reviews followed by the excerpts.
i find everything quite important and useful
I go by genre the most because I usually like books of specific genres. Otherwise, I would look at the description author and reviews and determine if it's worth my time from there.
Option b always go for the genre I like first because that's just my preference of what I'm into so that's what I would go for first and then the description of the book because I would want to know if it's going to be something I'm interested in that genre
Genre and book description are important. If I'm out shopping for some good sci fi, then I don't want to buy a historical western, right? So yeah, Genre, and at least a brief description of what the book is about.
The most important thing to me in choosing an audiobook is the genre of the story. There are only certain genres that I enjoy so I would only be interested in looking at books from those genres.
When most people re loking for books they are going after a genera that they love and want to narrow down the options to see those first. Once thye find a book they read of the reviews and so on until they land at reading a bit of it.
I don't trust reviews with books because everyone has different tastes so E last. B first because genre is most important to me. Then D because I really go mostly off of description. C next because I also like the read the excerpts.
I feel like option B is the most relevant to me because that is the main factor for me to even search and look for something to listen/read, that is important to my interest.
I generally choose audiobooks based on genre, as I tend to prefer non fiction over fiction. Subject matter is also an important factor
First I look for a certain type of book, then I go with the highest reviews. I rarely pay attention to other things.
I only like a certain genre of books and that is the most important part to me. If it is not the genre that I like, then I will not be interested in it.
The topic and theme of a book is my first go-to for a book followed by the author if I am familiar with their previous works.
Option B. I always make my first pick based on the genre, I then make my decisions from there.
100% in this order, unless it is a really famous author or one that i have read before.
I selected "Option B" as the most important factor because I tend enjoy audiobooks that fall within certain catagories that are of interest me, and these tend to be included in specific genres.I selected "Option D" as the second most important factor because the book description provides a sense of the overall plot/story which I find significant in determining my level of interest as well.I selected "Option C" as the third factor because an " excerpt" can give me an idea of the flavor or manner of storytelling of the audiobook.I selected "Option A" as the forth factor because if I have had a positive experience with an author from a previous book that could reinforce an initial favorable response, or offset a slightly negative one.I selected "Option E" as the last factor because I have grown leery of the credibility of reviews on various sites and as a result try not to let them influence my thought process.
I almost always search by genre first since I'm only into certain types of books. I don't care who the author is if the book has good reviews.
I CHOSE B BECAUSE I ALWAYS LOOK AT THE GENRE OF THE BOOK FIRST.
I don't really trust book reviews since a lot are overly exaggerated. If I like an excerpt from a book or if the book description is meaningfully positive I'll read it.
Excerpt and reviews. I'm going to be spending several hours listening to someone speak so they better not have an annoying voice.
This is just how I vote in the importance. Excerpt is the most important, reviews are the least
Definitely need to see what the book is about. Also want to see reviews. Sometimes books are just not good on audio, so reviews will help there.
When I but the audiobooks I choose the option C in the first position because most of them first know and ask the question in the experienced person so I choose this option. Then I choose the second position is reviews because then we do only thing is read clearly reviews so I choose this option.
if it doesn't have a good description i likely won't listen/read it
By far, the description of the book is the most important factor. Another factor that is not on the list, is cost.
D I feel is the most important thing about any audiobook because it needs to give me an understanding of the story to draw my into it.
The book description ultimately helps me determine if I am interested. The rest help me solidify my decision or figure out which book I am reading first.
Book description is the most important to me because I need a general overview of what I might read. Reviews are essential because I trust general patterns to help me find things I otherwise might not consider. Genre is important because even though I will read things from any genre, I do have some preferences. Author is less relevant to me, although it can be a good first indicator if I might like something. Excerpts are the least important as it's easy to have a good excerpt for a terrible book, and thus are poor indicators.
I like option D the best because for me first and foremost the book description is always the first thing that I will look at.
Option D is usually the first thing I look at to see if the book sounds interesting. Option B and E are also important but I find option D to be the most important thing. Option A, is okay but mostly depends on if I read/listen to the author's other books. Option C, isn't something I normally look for.
Pretty much if I'm interested in it first and foremost. Also, if it is either read by the author or someone that is fitting for the book.
Same as purchasing a regular book, I always like to know what I'm getting into so I consider all these things to some extent
I love to read, and I always read the descriptions as that's the best way for me to determine if I'm interested. I have favorite authors as well, so that's my second choice. I also have preferred genres so that's third. I sometimes but not always look at reviews, and a little excerpt isn't something I find that helpful.
The book's description gets my attention before any other thing.
I picked D as my top choice as I like to see what the book is bout before buying. I picked B as my next choice as I like to see who wrote the book.
Mostly when purchasing an audiobook I consider the Book description which will give me the psyche to know more about the book.
Most importantly I have to be interested in reading the book itself first and foremost before I listen to a book
I like the description most because it gives a better sense of what the book will be about.
I usually look at the book description first to see if it sounds like something I would be interested in listening to.
I simply picked in order of the factors that I know would have the largest impact on me and would influence me to either purchase a book or not.
For me the book description is always what catches my attention the most first. Then I always like to read reviews of the book.
I'd be most interested if the book description sounds interesting. Next would be if it's a genre I enjoy. The reviews are also important. I would not want to read a book with terrible reviews.
I always look at the description no matter what but the genre is also important. It is important to have a good narrator so I like to listen to a sample.
The book has to sound like it would be good to my personal tastes for me to be interested, so description is the main factor.
I always like to read the description of a book to see if it is something that would interest me and then I rely on reviews of like minded people
Since I typically don't consume audiobooks, I made my choices based on how I choose my books. I typically go straight to the blurb first, and then the excerpt if one is available. Genre is only then important to me mostly so that I can predict what types of tropes might be present and whether that fits what I know of the book so far. Unless I've already read multiple books by that author, reviews matter to me more.
If i am looking for an audiobook my first concern would be what its about then if other people like it. the author does not really factor into my decision process
I like all kinds of different books so the description is what matters to me most.
I think that choice E is the best of the 5 factors I care about
feel like reviews are the most important as it offers me the best know of what to expect and what others experienced
I mostly think about what others have to say about it and whether it is a genre that I usually find interesting.
I would go with option E because I think reviews are the most important and helps me gauge how good the book is. Option B, D, and A are quite important to me too. Option C I would say is the least important.
Reviews are most important from these options because that's the best way to know if I'm going to get something high quality
The reviews are the most important. Usually the reviews are really reliable. I read both positive and negative and make a judgement from there. Option D and B are also factors to see if I'm interested.
the reviews is one place I go to, to know how exciting a book is, and its very important i read others testimonies.
I always read reviews before listening to a book. The description and genre are somewhat important, also.
I chose option E first because I think I rely the most on reviews for audio books. I chose options D, B and A second, third and fourth because I find the book description, genre and author to be the most useful items I need to know before I purchase an audio book. I chose option C last because an excerpt is not a very important item for me to purchase an audio book.
I depend on others opinions of books I think they are usually accurate
E reviews are important to find out if the book is interesting or not
Reviews are always very helpful for me personally because it gives me an honest perspective of other people. This is always my go to for info.
I'd rather have something that' reviewed well. I like something that's been tested out. It would make it more worth my time.
I always look at the review first and the credibility of people who are leaving reviews. I use Reddit as a screener for new products but even Reddit can have fake bots or promoters so I may check YouTube as well
The top reviews are best. Good to know what the quality of the book is. The description helps a lot too, as well as the excerpt. Those are the top reasons here. Then, if you are interested in the genre, that is useful to know. The author is probably not a huge deal in the end if the book is good.
I find reviews to be very helpful in terms of whether I will enjoy an audio book so lean heavily on those.
all this facts are checked before purchasing the books to avoid complaint.
