Option C won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 59 votes after 2 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 | Round 2 |
---|---|---|
C | 47% 47 votes | 59% 59 votes +12 |
A | 40% 40 votes | 41% 41 votes +1 |
B | 13% 13 votes | Eliminated 13 votes reassigned |
Online is the best way to go and only in-person if necessary
I much prefer convenience as it is a lot easier.
I am doing all of my shopping on Amazon this year to avoid crowds and COVID
I chose A first because I prefer to do all my shopping in the comfort of my own home. So much less stress that way and I don't have to deal with people. And I chose C next because online was in it, and B last because I don't like shopping in person.
I do all of my shopping online exclusively, and have for the past couple of years. Less hassle and stress and more comfortable.
A i vastly prefer for many reasons. C because sometimes you simply have to go out the store if it is an exclusive offer B i hate going to the store and avoid it if at all possible
It is so much safer to shop online during the holidays so that is my #1 choice. However I do attend events throughout the year, where I purchase gifts months in advance, hence the #2 choice.
Online shopping is so easy now a days. I don't see a reason to drive to the store, mingle with crowds, wait in long lines, etc.
I shop online for gifts becuase its more convienient.
I would say 95% of my Christmas shopping is online. The other 5% is in person. I find that I spend more money when I buy in person, it is better for my budget to shop online.
The vast majoring of shopping is online because of the convenience and not having to deal with the crowds. There are occasions I shop in person , so that is why I ranked choice C second.
I much prefer to avoid the heavy crowds and traffic during the holiday season.
Option A #1 because I can lay in bed, not get dressed, and do all my shopping in the comfort of my own home. Same prices and free shipping and I don’t need to fight for a parking spot and get stressed. Option C #2 because sometimes, I just can’t get everything online and I need to go to a shop for something, like a small business that does not have a website. Option B #3 because I don’t like fighting for a parking spot and getting stressed, and dealing with tons of greedy people running to grab anything and everything.
For the past five years I only buy gifts online. It is easy and simple.
For the most part I would go with A because I do most of my shopping online. I rarely go buy in person to be honest.
It's just A. Mostly Amazon and Ebay. I hate holiday crowds.
I have two small children so it is easiest to do everything online because then I don't have to drag them everywhere, and they can't see what their presents are.
prefer convenience of online, sometimes go in store for expensive things that need visual inspection or fit
Online is much more convenient
Generally speaking, I purchase items for gifts online or at least shop for them initially on the Internet. Only very rarely do I seek out items locally or purchase them in person.
Online is better because I can avoid to be in a crowded place. Also, I don't have to waste time outside.
it's easier and safer to do it online. no covid and no having to leave the house and deal with other people
I prefer the shop for holiday products and gifts online because that is the most convenient and best way to get products that I want delivered to me quickly.
Choice A: online only. In-store holiday shopping is at best a pain in the butt, and at worst dangerous given the pandemic.
It depends entirely on who I'm buying for and when. I don't know yet when I'll purchase gifts for the holidays this year or how.
I prefer to do it online since there are more items and it's more convenient. Option C, works too. Option B, I don't really do often but more as a last resort like if an item won't come in time.
Too much covid out there. Online is safer.
I don't have a car and would rather things be shipped
I mostly try to do it all online because of convenience and to avoid people.
I prefer to do all of my shopping online.
I can find more variety online and avoid crowds. Online is much easier especially with Amazon Prime.
I really only shop online because it's more convenient and it's safer because I don't have to deal with crowds.
I shop online and I work to make sure that I don't have to deal with crowds.
Online is most convenient, has the products I'm looking for, and safer.
I tend to buy things online more. You can focus on what you want. It's easy to search and find that way. Not so much with in person as you might find the store doesn't have what you want. So online first and then in person as a last second thing.
I dont like dealing with stores, I prefer online. Especially with covid.
Mainly online, a little in person
I buy a lot on Amazon. I will shop in person if I absolutely have to.
I think that besides clothes, I shop for holiday stuff online. It is just easier this year. I do clothes in person though so that I can make sure they fit.
A i just generally prefer to shop online so i don't need to deal with crowds, or parking for that matter. C is somewhat ok for me and if i can't find something online or if its store pickup only i generally order online then go pick it up. B i don't really like shopping in person anymore and i really try to avoid just because i don't like dealing with crowds and the ongoing worry about the pandemic.
I like to see the item first before I buy it.
almost exclusively in person. I prefer to see and touch things before I buy them.
prefer in person always
I prefer to go in person - seems to inspire things than just looking online.
I like shopping in person because you can really get a feel of the product. Especially if it's clothing, homewares or something soft like that, it's good to know and feel the material and quality.
I am kind of old school and like to touch things before I buy them so I VERY rarely buy something online unless it is just impossible to find locally.
I chose option B as my first choice because it is easier to buy gifts in person because I can look at the quality of the product and I can shop at many stores in one day. Option C was my second option because I can buy gifts in person but if the product that I am looking for is sold out in stores, I can resort to shopping for the product online. Option A was my last choice because it is sometimes harder to buy gifts online because it is hard to see the quality of the product unless I know exactly what I am shopping for.
I don't buy many gifts, so anything I do buy I can get right at the store. Very rarely do I buy gifts online.
I shop in person because we have a limited recipient list and usually focus on consumables (e.g., food, drink) and I like the opportunity to try before buying and shipping.
I support the local non-chain businesses. I do not want to support rich out-of-state businesses.
B In person, I want to look, hold it, see it myself before I buy a gift. A If I see a good sale price online, I might buy it. C Online or in person. I might see it in person. But look online if I can buy the same item cheaper.
I'd not completely shop online because i like to see what I'm buying physically when it comes to gift items.
I always shop in person because I can see the product and know exactly the quality and what I am getting for my money. My second choice was C because it mentions shopping in person too. My last choice is A because I do not shop for gifts online
I try to do it in person as much as possible because I like to physically see and touch the product before I buy.
I shop both but mostly online I dont like people
I like doing it in person and online in person because it's nice to actually see what you're gonna get. Online because this is more convenient
c Some items I can't get online so I need to be able to go to the store. a Online doesn't have everything. b In person is too time consuming.
Some items are easy to purchase online. But I like going into the store and picking things out sometimes too. It depends on the type of item
I'd rather just do all shopping online but for some things like alcohol I need to go to the store
I do it both online and in-person. But online more so than in-person in the past few years.
I mostly shop online but do a little in person as well if I'm out shopping for something else. For example, if I am at Target because I am picking up toilet paper I will look and shop for gifts while I am there. I do not make special trips out just to gift shop.
C - depending on pricing and availability I will go where ever the product is. A - easier to shop. B - always good to go traditional.
A mix of online and in person. Some things can be easily ordered online, some things I need to look over in a store and make sure it's what I want.
best options and most comfortable being in my home shopping occasionaly like to go to stores
I buy online and pick up in store.
I picked C as my top choice as I like to see what both stores have.
I do a lot of shopping online now. It is just more convenient. Sometimes is helps to see stuff in person though so I tend to do both but I do more online than in person
I find shopping online is a huge time saver. It also saves a lot in gas. I can often find deals faster without doing the foot work. But, atleast twice a year I need the tactile experience of going into a shop all decorated for Christmas and shopping for things.
C because it is very convenient, A because it is also convenient, B because it is the least convenient for me
Because prices in online markets like Amazon have been climbing, I find that inperson shopping is becoming more affordable. However, some things can only be found online.
I shop both online and in person depending upon the type of gift, how quickly I need it, and how to get the lowest price. If I am rushed or don't care that much I'll prefer in person to online though.
C is my first choice because I do a combination of both online and in person shopping for gifts. B is my next choice because I mainly do in person when I can. A is my third choice because I do online shopping when I can't find what I want in the physical store.
I would definitely prefer online first, but some items I feel I need to see in person to get a good perspective on whether people would like it
I do a mix of online and in person. The more options I have, the better variety of gifts I can find.
The flexibility of both is nice but I prefer to miss the crowds in person if I can shop online instead.
I often buy things online but I do like to find inspiration in person at markets or stores to supplement the main purchases.
I like online shopping but with shipping delays, I like to go in person if possible.
I shop probably 50% online and 50% in person. It depends on the item and cost.
I like the process of going around looking for the perfect gift, but I do it both in person and online.
I prefer in person, but if I cannot find what I am looking for I will go online. I enjoy actually going to stores and helping the local economy
I really do my shopping online and in person the last few years. I try to get as much as possible online, and it would be great if that was an option for everything I buy - but some things like clothing I need to see them hands-on because I want to know the quality or the size or true color of the gift I'm buying. For pretty much everything other than clothing I will buy it online unless it's out of stock.
I prefer to shop in person so I can see the items I am purchasing. But I don't always find what I want so have to go online.
That way I don't have to leave the house to shop, and some things I want to see it before I buy it.
I buy online for people that live nearby, and I send gifts online to people out of state.
i chose option c because i shop for christmas both in person and online. i chose option a as my second choice because i shop online for christmas more than in person. i chose option b as my third choice because i shop in person les than online
I will be doing Option C, both because I can find a wider variety of gifts.
I most often shop both online and in person because there are some things that I can actually get in person. I love the convenience of ordering online, but I also like to be able to help local businesses stay in business. If I can buy video games or board games from local stores I'm going to chose that over buying it online. I do tend to buy everything else from the internet especially a video game that I can't find at the local store. I wouldn't want to do all of my shopping in person because sometimes I just don't have time.
I prefer both online and in person. For some gifts like clothing and such I would prefer in person to get a better perspective of the pieces, whereas things like makeup and giftcards I can easily get them online so I don't have to spend much time waiting in line and such.
usually i get most of my gifts online but many can't be. for example i got my wife personal training which i can't get for her online. it has to be in person. some things i can give gift cards to extended family.
Obviously both is the best way to do it. Some items are better in store, some better (cheaper) online. However, there are some items I would ONLY buy if I could see and feel them for real, so B > A
Online and inperson, offers greater the joy then an single door.
Option "C": The overwhelming amount of shopping planned versus previous years was to increase online buying but between product availability and shipping issues, some brick/mortar purchases may be required whether we want to or not.
I dislike not having seen an item in person but so much is only available online. These rankings reflect this
Its easier to compare prices online - I also know if it is in stock. Most items I have tried to find in the store have been out of stock.
I don’t like in person shopping but for groceries it feels necessary. Everything else I do online.
If I could only do one I would do online because of the larger selection, but I like to do both. Sometimes it's nice to browse in store when I need something but don't know exactly what I want, like when getting a kid's gift.
I prefer to order everything online but there are some items I'd like to see in person before making the purchase to ensure the quality of, such as clothes.
I do a mixture of online and in person shopping. I would say 75% online and the rest is in person. I prefer to avoid the crowds and I feel that online shopping provides good deals.
Option C because I will look for something in particular online, while using in person shopping to browse and window shop
I like to do a mixture of both.
