Seems less complicated to use, more user friendly features, easier to adjust picture quality
Not that I have anything against the Microsoft famous but Zoom is the only one that I've used and I'm very familiar with it . I like it . I've had no problems with it .
It has more chat capabilities that are easy to use
I think it is easier. Maybe it is because I am more familiar with it and everyone I know uses it.
Zoom became prevalent during COVID so it is the software that my company, friends and family used and still uses for video conferences.
Most other people use this one so it makes it more convenient to use.
i have been using zoom for quite some time now and they have met my expectations in every way, i havent seen any reason to change my video conferencing so i dont really know how Microsoft team works
I have more experience with Zoom than on Microsoft Teams. It would be a learning curve learning how to use that program
Zoom is fast and easy and what I prefer to use.
Generally my experience with Teams has been negative and I hate the Availability feature that tracks whether you are working on not. I hate being on the clock like that.
Zoom is easier to use and had better feeatures
To be fair, preference is irrelevant when you're video conferencing because you'll use whatever everyone else is more comfortable with or whichever tool MORE people are using. Zoom skyrocketed in popularity during the pandemic and basically became the default choice of many people due to the sheer amount of people using it. Microsoft Teams did not have the same reach. Also, Microsoft has been pretty aggressive about finding ways to gather consumer data and I don't want to support them by using their products.
If I had the choice I would prefer Zoom. It's less resource heavy. Maybe a little easier to use. I might go with Teams if I was using 365.
I am much more familiar with Zoom than Microsoft teams, which is why I prefer it. Zoom makes it easy to join meetings and set up meetings. I've never had a problem connecting, and you also can call in if a computer isn't handy.
Option A, is slightly easier to use and I liked the ui design.
A is more popular and I most people have more experience with it and are comfortable with its layout and features and how to use them.
It is just what I am used to having and using. They are both easy but I know zoom without thinking.
I have found zoom to be very easy to use and it can handle a large number of participants without becoming confusing. It is easy for most people to learn and that makes it the most efficient video conferencing tool.
The teams feature, tries to hard to work for everything but ends up being subpar for everything.
Zoom is more common and more people have access. It is easier to use.
I find Zoom easier t use than Microsoft Teams. Some recent changes to Zoom make it harder to use; however, it is still easier to use than Teams.
It's the one I use for work and the one I'm more accustomed to.
We use teams at work so I'm just more familiar with it, but at the same time, with Zoom I tend to try and join the meeting a few minutes early because it always seems to take a minute or two to load, Teams I generally click at the scheduled time and am ready to go.
I prefer to use this one because we use Microsoft software for many of the things we need to do at work.
This is the platform I have used more often, so I am more comfortable with it.
I prefer to use that as I am more familiar with Microsoft in general.
I like that it is integrated with other microsoft apps
This is the one I use for work. It seems to be used easily. Zoom seems to sometimes require an update all of a sudden then I'm late.
I like that Zoom is more independent, but I think that Microsoft Teams is easier to use and better designed for multiple tasks.
I use this regularly for work so i am more used to how it functions

Option A won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 21 votes after 1 round of vote counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 |
---|---|
A | 70% 21 votes |
E | 23.33% 7 votes |
C | 6.67% 2 votes |

I definitely need high speed internet and the right equipment to keep things going smoothly. Following that, I want comfortable furniture and the right software to be able to work with others. Lastly, noise cancelling headphones aren't so important to me.
All of these things are very important to me , um , I think first of all , always make sure that I have a high-speed internet connection . Uh , because I do a lot of things on the internet .
High-speed internet is the most important because the vast majority of the work I do involves use of the internet.
Having high speed internet is extremely important
I ranked based on what is the most important to the work that I do.
High speed internet is the most important thing to me because nothing else works without it.
High speed internet is the most important. When I was working from home, the internet kept going in and out, disrupting my workflow.
without good internet, nothing will work as seamlessly as I would like, making everything else pointless.
these are all must haves so I ranked them in order of importance to me.
I prioritize connectivity and comfort which are fundamental for remote work
Without a high speed internet connection, your remote work will suffer the most. Hardware is never a major concern because you can always submit requests for new devices if you work for a competent organization or you can spend your own money to buy something better. Collaboration software matters, but not as much because you use whatever tools everyone else is comfortable using. Office furniture is whatever you have available to you since you're working remotely. Finally, noise is something personal and something you have to deal with on your own regardless: what are you going to do, stop working because you can't handle noise? No one is going to aceept that excuse.
Having a high speed connection is the first thing you need. Without that, you can't get anything done. After that it's hardware. A slow system isn't going to work. Then comes the software. Being that is personal preference.
Option A is the most important. Option C, is slightly more important than option B. Option E, is more ideal and necessary than option D.
I don't use any headphones though that might be nice to have. The main thing is you have to have a good internet connection and good hardware. Without that it won't matter about all the other things.
High speed is important for the level of activity that I need to complete. I can't be distracted, so I need good headphones. The hardware needs to be up to date and innovative. I collaborate with coworkers and clients, so need to be able to do so effectively. Comfort is important, but less so than other elements.
My top choice was Option A because the ability to have something work and process fast is crucial to productivity. Option E ties a bit to that notion as having an efficient hardware setup makes things work much easier. For example, I can't imagine going back to less than two monitors for work. Option C was my next choice as it helps to have the ability to communicate seamlessly within your organization. Option D is largely dependent on where your office is located, but it always helps to have headphones that allow you to focus. I am largely indifferent to Option B as the ergonomic portion can be tweaked (e.g., a pillow on a hard chair) easier.
I really only need fast internet and can work from anywhere. A comfortable chair would be nice but I am also fine on my couch
Having a good internet connection is the key to success. Chairs and other pieces of equipment are all secondary to a good internet connection. If you can stream without interuptions, the rest doesn't matter.
High speed internet is everything because without that then the rest of the work suffers
If I don't have the internet connection, hardware and software, it won't work. Headphones are nice and the furniture is not too important.
I live in a rural area, so a high-speed, dependable internet connection is most important to me.
for me its very important that i can incorporate other software to work together with my remote productivity tool and this is vital because it determine my productivity also, if the software is too difficult to work with it becomes a problem, also the hardware and internet connections are also very important as they act like the middlemen and when both are screwed your productivity is doomed.
The key here is the ability to keep connected and effectively get the work done as needed with your team or solo effort.
High speed reliable internet is critical as well as a quality laptop
I need to have the equipment and connection to do the job first. Then I want to be comfortable.
Hardware is very important to me because I want a computer that is easy to use and fast. I also want headphones that are comfortable and block external distractions. My internet speed must be reliable and fast enough to get the job done. I require a reasonable comfortable chair, and I don't care a whole lot about the project management software.
Boy, that's a toughie because all are so important. I guess the most important has to be the hardware followed closely by the high speed internet. You can't have one without the other, and they really go hand-in-hand in my remote world.
Having the right hardware makes working remote a lot easier.
I don't do the kind of work that needs collaboration software and I like to stay as distant as possible. I can use the headphones because I do transcription and the noise cancellation helps me hear.
You need the proper hardware and monitors first and foremost. That is the most important need, followed closely by high-speed internet. You will fail remotely without those two components. The hardware ensures that you have no lag, and the high-speed internet ensures you have no buffering. Collaboration software is next, because you'll be much easier to collaborate via the software than on the phone. Ergonomic furniture is a luxury and not as important since you can get up and walk around your domicile any time you want. And the noise canceling headphones are pretty much useless. They'd be more important in the actual office where there is all the useless office chatter.

Just the introduction of virtual meeting software (Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.) itself has really boosted the working environment, both at home and the office. I know it existed beforehand but it was during COVID that most people began using them and still probably continue to use it today. It's a lot more easy and efficient to connect to people and set up meetings this way compared to using a phone.
Having a separate cellphone for business, have a good CRM program
I think one thing is having good voices and good audio and visual . Uh , when you see people , uh , you can make eye contact with them even though you're in the same room but you're not in the same room , and I think that's very important . I think the message gets absorbed if you're making a presentation , a presentation comes out where people will learn . So yeah , I think that would be uh the best thing .
Really its some of the same tools I use in the office- email, messaging and then meeting software. Its being able to ping my co-workers when I need their imput and choosing the right one to get a timely response- IM if its as soon as possible, email if its in the next day or so and I want to keep a record and finally meeting or calling if something is too complex for the other message systems
Collaborating over video chat is amazing because it allows for more productivity by eliminating the waste of time involved in traveling.
I would suggest continuing to use zoom to work collaboratively
I don't have any suggestions; I think having a video component greatly helps with communicating ideas and tone more clearly.
I don't use them enough to make an honest suggestion.
My suggestions would be high quality hardware and connectivity. Sucks when the systems down or the internet's out from personal experience. We really need the best to do our best.
For me it is others and I having the right hardware that can handle working in a remote setting.
I do think that high speed internet is the best suggestion. You need that so that you can get your work done and not keep customers waiting.
tools that are viable to increase remote productivity are tools like the slack workspace group chat, its a vital communication tool that provide easy and quick messaging between employee and employer.
Instant messaging is very useful in this setting when it is too time sensitive to send an email
I think a collaborative chat room that people can talk openly in would aid in this greatly
you need headphones, you need a great wifi connection, you need software and you need a secure connection.
Take out the Availability feature! Add the ability make recordings....that is usually in there, but also to tune up or clean up audio if possible. It would be nice to have a good picture editor i with here as well. Make the online conferencing ability with pointers and so forth easier to use.
set regular check ins and set clear communication guidelines
Less is more. I feel like you're trying to come up with solutions to problems that people don't actually have. Anyone can work remotely and be productive as long as they have a dedicated space for it, a good connection, and whatever hardware they normally have in an office that they would need for their work. Getting additional tools just overcomplicates things.
Maybe some way to quickly schedule regular check ins would be helpful. Like some way to get everyone on the same page quickly. Like a messenger that would message everyone in real time to make sure everyone is on the same page. Having a way to easily prioritize tasks in real time would be helpful too.
Just a checklist that is visible to all team members to see what work tasks need to be done and who is assigned to it. That ensures accountability and that work is getting done without other people wondering if everyone else is actually working. And a weekly remote meeting so people can chat and have ideas and suggestions. Daily meetings are a waste of time and will be something people dread and appear to be more along the lines of a teacher keeping students in line as opposed to trusting adults to do their jobs.
I think just having a ergo chair can help improve productivity in a remote work setting.
The only thing that will help me be more productive in a remote work setting that I don't have is double monitors and a printer and scanner. If I had these things at home I could complete full tax returns instead of just doing them then going to work and then printing and reviewing there.
Having the ability to chat, call and video in real time is essential.
I currently work remotely and find that reliable internet is by far the most important thing. After that, the speed at which your computer can process is also key. Then, how that information can be shared and discussed with others. At my company, we use Microsoft Teams and that is where most of the meetings (from one-to-one scenarios to large multi-department ones) take place.
A speaker phone is nice. The speaker mic on the iPhone isn’t great so a stand alone unit is helpful.
Better audio features when you are sharing your screen makes the videos or audio that may be shared more effective. Too often you can hear the audio portion when zoom leaders start music or videos.
Having a central platform that can easily queue things up and down can help in work.
Nothing i can think of because so far i have what i need
I would like it if there were not so many sidebar conversations with the hand raising and clapping etc.
In Zoom, it is harder to access a link to send to a participant. I have to scroll around to find the link. Also, the link is way too long as I end up deleting much of the extraneous information include in the link.
