I do it sometimes, usually when I change my mind about a purchase.
Pretty often; I multitask, and also sometimes like to think about a purchase before I make it and do something else especially if it's not an essential.
Common as I'll look for an item but not buy it or look around for similar items
I almost always follow through and purchase on the spot unless there is some rare emergency preventing me from completing my purchase.
I often have second thoughts before spending my money. Sometimes I have a feeling I can get the product cheaper elsewhere.
Very rarely if I'm buying something do way not buy it just leave it
I tend to browse a lot but then I get distracted, so I will hold off on a purchase.
I will sometimes leave if there are hidden fees or if I get a last minute inkling that I can find a better deal somewhere else. But 90% of the time, I am totally sure of what I am doing when making a purchase and will stick it out to the very end.
It depends. If I really want a product then no. If it's something that I'm not sure about theres a good chance I add it to the cart and then exit before doing anything.
Quite often. I sometimes leave stuff in my cart and come back the next day to see if I really want to buy it
When I no longer have a desire to purchase something on the website, I leave it.
sometimes, usually only if i have something else that needs my immediate attention
I don’t often do it as I go there for one purpose only so leaving is not what I do.
It's rare that i leave a website i intend to shop from midway through and typically only happens when something more urgent comes up.
All the time. I will often leave a website to check if I'm looking at a good product or getting a good price. Sometimes just to think about it to make sure I really want the item
It usually happens when I find out the shipping prices or I have a coupon code and the website modifies my clearance item back to a regular price item before applying my coupon.
If I'm putting things in an online shopping cart, I'm serious, so I seldom abandon ship.
If I am shopping with the immediate intent to purchase, I go through the whole process without stopping, but if I am still researching, I may leave the site one or more times to look at off-site resources about the product or service.
I often leave a website in the middle of shopping or purchasing to browse social media or check email.
I rarely if just about ever complete a purchase without browsing other websites or coming back to it later. I always like to ruminate a bit on what I am about to buy.
I tend to browse and leave a site in hopes I might get a coupon or if I think I need to think on the purchase more
Often something WILL come up and I have to leave. MOST of the time, I complete though. It probably happens about 29 or 30 percent of the time though and is NOT uncommon to be honest.
I would say about half of the time I shop online
I leave a website approximately half the time because once I read the description I might not be interested in the product as much
I don't do it too often because the only time I shop online I do it because I am in a hurry and already know what I need to get meaning I don't usually abandon my shopping.
I think that I often leave a website in the middle of shopping for or purchasing a product because something else came up or I decided to no buy the product at that particular website.
Its really just indecisiveness. And sometimes you get a feeling to not spend money on a certain site.
I don't do that real often but I do sometimes, probably about 15% of the time.
I usually leave a website in the middle of shopping to compare prices on other websites in hopes to find a better deal.
I would say it's not most of the time, but definitely not none of the time either. And it is mostly because I realized I do not need to buy that thing right then, and if I don't leave the site, I will anyway.
Generally if i really want something i'm going to stick around until i order. If i leave in the middle of shopping it's usually because a site doesn't have quite what i want.
I leave a little over half the time. Lots of times I am just price comparing, and sometimes you have to go all the way to check out to find out the complete total. Then once I have that I will leave that site to check out another sites complete price, They what everyone is better will come back to that to complete order. Or sometimes I just add something to cart so I don’t loose where it was at, and come back later
I tend to change my mind about spending money a lot while shopping online. I do it in stores too as well.
I would say it's 50/50 whether or not I leave a website during the middle of shopping or purchasing based on how I feel towards what I need.
I will try to find the best deal. If I think I can get a better deal somewhere else then I will find it. I also like to see if I put something in the cart and they send me a discount code later
Almost never, unless i have to go do something or i cannot afford it now but want it .
I sometimes do and sometimes I don't. It would depend on how busy I am,if I'm trying to see in total how much a product would cost with the shipping and taxes. And if it is too expensive for me I would leave the website in the middle of purchasing.
I often navigate to different websites to compare prices
I would rank this as a 2, not very often. Usually when I go shopping, I've already done my homework and research ahead of time regarding who has what I need, if it's in stock, and at what price. I don't terribly enjoy shopping so I lay my groundwork well in advance so I can get it done ASAP, whether in store or online. So, I rarely quit because the buy phase is the last and smallest part. Exceptions being unexpected price rises or things going out of stock, that could still have me quit if it's an important item.
My mind easily wants to do something else whenever I'm doing something, I guess it just likes to multitask.
Not too often, but if the checkout process is way too long I will exit
I just get distracted with other things and I can't think of all the shopping items I need at that moment.
I usually dont leave a website in the middle of shopping or purchasing a product. I try to stay on it and finish my transaction.
I usually like to finish what I'm doing before leaving, I would only leave in the event something came up in real life.
I usually do not rate websites in the middle of shopping
I do not leave a website in the middle of shopping or purchasing very often. Usually when I am shopping online, I already know what I am looking for, where I am going to buy it from, and have already made up my mind to buy it.
I leave a website in the middle of shopping and purchasing quite often for a number of reason. Foremost is if the shipping or added fees like handling or service fees are too expensive. I also may comparison shop and abandon a cart in favor of a cheaper site or one that has better shipping or return policies. Finally, if something about a site does not seem reputable when I go to checkout, I typically leave immediately.
I rarely if ever leave a review in the middle of shopping or purchasing. Only if I get a reminder after I have purchased an item, will I go back and leave a review.
a medium amount...often i will go to the checkout because some sites dont tell you about tax or shipping until you get there.
If I’m making a luxury purchase, I am apt to step away and consider it. I don’t like to be TOO impulsive.
I do this frequently, as I rarely make impulse purchases so i often leave and think about it for days
I picked three because it depends on the website and what I am shopping for, sometimes I will leave in the middle and sometimes I do not.
Personally, I don't go into the buying part of a site unless I'm ready to make the purchase. However, there are times that I stop in the middle. Perhaps I am needed elsewhere, or something within the process made me change my mind.
I often look for other cheaper products at other websites before purchasing. There's so much competition, so it's good to look for other deals elsewhere.
If I know I cannot afford it or there are a lot of pop ups those will deter me.
I would rate a average to above average score for leaving in the middle of shopping. It could be for a variety reasons but mostly likely it's doing a price check across multiple websites so I might leave one website in favor of another. For non-big sites like Amazon, I will sometimes check for shipping costs as some stores do not offer free shipping. If I see something I like, I will often check deal websites (like Slickdeals) or check if any of the store rebates work on the current store. If it doesn't, I mean try to find the product on another store. I generally at least a minimum effort to get the best deal possible.
I will leave a website while shopping if I suddenly decide that it's not a good time to be doing this or I don't want to make a purchase right at that time or I think I can find a coupon or better deal or something like that.
I sometimes abandon the shopping process to do more research or look for better deals elsewhere. But usually if I've started purchasing the item, I've already taken those steps.
It depends. If the price isn't right, or the store seems overly sketchy, then I'll likely abandon a purchase. If the price is reasonable, and the store is reliable, then I'll usually complete a purchase.
I think about half of the time. I look a lot... but don't buy whether I don't find what i was looking for or the price is too high.
I do it a lot because of glitches, shipping being to high, or they don't take a payment method I like to use
i like to put stuff i a cart to remember it, but then i hardly every come back to it, i think it is an easy way to save an item, but also when i see expensive shipping i will look elsewhere
I leave websites in the middle of shopping very often. Reasons are, I am making shopping lists, planning, price comparing, and often get distracted by my kids and have to close the app or website temporarily till I can find a better time to return and finish.
I do this all the time. It helps me stop impulse buying.
I usually finish my purchases, unless I come across some information that changes my opinion on buying the items in the cart. If I find the items cheaper somewhere else, I will leave. If I feel they don't give me a discount I deserve or ask for a high shipment cost, I will also leave.
When I am shopping on Amazon I can almost always find what I want. I will continue until I complete the transaction.
I get sidetracked lot lol
I almost never do it unless the price of my cart gets too expensive and I start to rethink my purchase.
It is not uncommon that I leave a shopping website. Either I want to do more research before buying, something comes up that needs my attention, I don't like the reviews, I realize I don't need the item; there are many reasons that I abandon.
I love to shop products on online . Especially men's wear , men's cosmetic products and also tech products . If I want to buy a product , I will entirely focused on it . I should not give up or go back without buying the product that what I want to buy . I will not go back or leave the websight in the middle of shopping products .
Not very often. If I go through the trouble of ordering something, it takes a lot to stop me midstream.
I would say I do this pretty regularly. I love to window shop
I don't do it a lot but it does happen. Usually on products I'm still considering. I'll add them to cart or something and then close the site if I decide against it.. Or if I'm comparing prices on multiple sites, I obviously end up closing the more expensive ones.
Most of the time all Im doing is comparing prices
I do this almost everyday as i "window shop" Which makes me feel better about not being able to afford some of the things i would want.
I find that I just like to browse. It is a fun way to pass the time. I cannot afford most of those things I shop for anyway.
I'll add something to the cart or make it as far as the checkout screen, but decide to stop either because I want to check other websites, and forget about the original, or don't like the fees, shipping costs, or lack of deals.
I will sometimes leave and sometimes purchase. It depends on what I am looking for. I think if it is a bigger purchase I will leave just because I need some time to think about it.
I leave a website in the middle of shopping because generally I'm just "window shopping".
Sometimes I leaving my online shopping cart filled without checking out as sort of a way to hold onto those products. I might be getting a second opinion or double-checking or just waiting a bit before buying, so I would just leave it in the cart and come back when I'm ready to purchase. This only happens once a while though.
It kinda depends if I either don't want it, or I might have to do another errand.
I'm on a really tight budget so I have to think about things for a really long time.
I rarely will just leave before I've made my purchases but occasionally, if the price is not what I expected or the color or availability is not good for what I'm looking for I will leave a site without buying anything.
If I think it’s overpriced I’ll leave. If it’s not holding my attention as well.
I have 5 kids, I often have to come back to actually finish a purchase.
It happens more than you think. I could have second thoughts of buying it for various reasons, or I would rather spend my money at a later date.
It really depends. If I get to the part where I put my info and payment info in, and I see that the shipping is too high- then I will not purchase anything and leave the website. If it's difficult to navigate through the site, I will leave. If I look through items and they cost too much, or I just can't find anything I like or in a size I need or want, then I will leave. Sometimes- I am just browsing and like looking at different things to get ideas for the things in the future. I will also sometimes make a wish list or screen shot an item so I can save it for later.
I have left in the middle of purchasing several times because the shipping options killed the deal.
Only if I get stung with some stupid shipping charges or something similar.
If I got any other important work I will leave or if the website is boring,I will leave
I normally think awhile before purchasing. Amazon I just order as I have free shipping with prime. Target I try and do one order a week when I am going in town.
I might leave the website in the middle of shopping if I have another tab open on another retailer and I find a better deal.
Depends on whether I know what i want before i go, if so then i either get it or not.
It really depends the situation if I'm busy or need more options to consider, but if that isn't the case, I'd usually go ahead and make a purchase then and there.
I usually do not leave a website until I am finished. Sometimes something happens, like someone needs my attention or a phone call, that I have to postpone finishing until later is why I would give a 2 instead of a 1.
I only use them in certain stores and only for the coupons mainly
I generally leave websites in the middle of shopping because I'm doing it out of boredom. Rarely do I actually need what I'm looking for. Sometimes I'm just researching for people's presents or for cosplay items. I also look for outfit inspiration. I am also very broke between inflation, working as a contractor, and debt. What I buy has to be a very carefully thought out buy. Searching a shopping website then leaving fills time and makes me a little better at least.
Sometimes I am browsing items and trying to figure out a budget for the items I want. For example, if I am interested in seeds - I will add the different types of seeds to my cart, and then add up the total amount. This way, when I purchase in the future, I know exactly how much it would cost to purchase without going over budget. Also, sometimes upon seeing the total, I get shocked at the amount and rethink all of my life choices.
I am very flexible about shopping. Sometimes, I need to stop and do more research on an item independent of the website I am on. So, I will quit my shopping and explore other options. I am more careful of a new website or a new to me website. I often have to weight the difference as to what is available locally vs the shipping costs. I also read a lot of reviews and I like to be sure of the construction of and item and its materials.
It can happen. I might get buyer's remorse or something about the site might turn me off at that moment.
