These are both pretty ugly covers, I don't like either, but the caveman alien thing is the worse of the two.

A appears to show the author on the cover, which is nice for a memoir of sorts. The animals also make the cover attractive.

Not only is the photo of the guy with the monkey on his head engaging and humorous, which would certainly get my attention, but the other photo is a little creepy looking and would definitely creep me out and put me off!

Option B is pretty creepy looking. Neither of these is very good. The typography is horrible.

The other cover appears to be mocking other cultures.

I like the author on the cover as well as the monkey on his head.

I am not fond of either, but I think A is better than B. B looks like an alien. At least with A, the Author (presumably) looks like he is having fun with some lemurs.

Both images are a little disconcerting but I would prefer the second image over the first

While i like some parts of option b better, A's readability (as in visibility) make it the more desirable option...

Its more interesting with animals. And I like seeing the author.

The guy on A was very unattractive. The guy on B makes me wonder what the book is about.

The Option B cover actually looks like a remote part of the world. The Option A cover looks like it could be anywhere.

I rather see a picture of the indigenous tribes and people that were encountered than a picture of a dude that traveled the world.

Option B looks like an alien! Very intersting.

That is one crazy picture on option B and without a doubt it captures my attention.

I hope these aren't real candidates for a book cover because they are both pretty poor, with that said I would go with B because at least it is interesting in a weird Ripley's believe it or not sort of way.
