shorter
more simple, i like it
Both are too wordy, but that ones not quite as bad (a)
Simpler and more open ended.
I don't really care about you when you were twelve.
last line being free snags me
Option B is just terrible. It doesn't convey anything to the reader. How are we supposed to know what the author knew at the age of 12?
Short and to the point
I like the fact it doesn't reference a kid's age... makes it more appealing to adults.
I like this one better
I prefer the slightly shorter tagline of Option A, it sounds better to me and doesn't give away too much about the content of the book.
Seems like a more serious title compared to the other one. Simpler and more direct as well.
omit the 12 year old part
Being free great
Makes me think the story is going to be about a 12 year old
The first choice has a better ring to it.
I think the part about "what I knew when I was 12" is a little strange.
Who wouldn't love the thought of being free; and the beauty of Maui, just makes everyone smile.
Sounds more intriguing than other choice.
"Free" sounds always great.
option A would get me to look at the book and buy it!
I wouldn't want to read about something I already know
shorter is better, even though I love the "knew when I was 12"
I knew nothing when I was twelve. That statement would not make me want to pick up the book.
Sounds like a more interesting title.
I like the idea of being free.
It sounds much better to me
Much better. The other one doesn't make sense.
I don't really understand the relevance of the second line about being 12 in Option B.
I think the mentioning of being 12 is a bit pretentious in the other title. I like the wording of option A better.
Choice A is more concise and to the point. I am attracted to less wordy taglines.
The art of being free applies to Maui more to me than what I knew when I was 12.
This tagline is more appealing because it covers a more broad understanding.
sounds happier
The ending has a better ring to it.
Option B feels too sarcastic with the "what I already knew when I was 12" part. I like the idea of the "art of being free" because it's more sophisticated sounding.
I didn't love either option, but A was significantly better than B. The reference to 12 year olds was strange and could be interpreted in many different ways.
I don't think the age part makes sense.
Second title is awkward
Why return to something you already know?
sounds more interesting
Sounds more connected to persons feelings
A is good but the addition of what I already knew when i was 12 makes it a bit more intriguing.
Less trite.
I like the practicality of the title and it's childlike playfulness.
childhood is a nice touch
I like how the Option B title gives credit to young people.
The part about what they already knew when they were 12 sounds much more interesting.
it sounds better
i like this option best
